The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) has issued an advisory regarding the participation of students in the SSC Election Miting de Avance – MarSU Boac Campus.

Date: August 24, 2026 (Monday)
Venue: MarSU Boac Campus Gymnasium
Schedule: MarSU Gymnasium

Students are allowed to participate in the in-person Miting de Avance as part of the approved activities in preparation for the SSC Election on August 27, 2026 (Thursday).

IMPORTANT:
To ensure learning continuity, classes during the conduct of the Miting de Avance shall shift to asynchronous learning activities. Face-to-face classes will resume immediately after the activity in accordance with the approved class schedules.

The activity is under the supervision of the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Services (OVPSAS) and has been duly approved by the Office of the University President.

Students are encouraged to take note of this advisory and coordinate with their respective faculty members regarding their asynchronous learning activities.

Sa darating na SSC Election, ito ay ang “𝗣𝗮𝗴-𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯” para sa panunungkulan.

Ang pag-alab ay hindi lamang apoy—ito ang ningas ng puso, ang liyab ng pag-asa, ang init ng pagsusumikap na hindi basta-basta maglalaho. Ito ang tindi ng damdaming nagtutulak sa atin na kumilos, lumaban, at mangarap nang mas mataas para sa ating komunidad.

Ngayong darating na Agosto 24-Setyembre 01, 2026, sama-sama nating tutukan ang Boac Supreme Student Council Election sa special coverage ng Sentro—𝗣𝗔𝗚-𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗕 | 𝗣𝗮𝗴-𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴: 𝗔𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘀, 𝗔𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝘂𝗸𝗮𝘀

Narito ang mga pangunahing impormasyong dapat ninyong malaman para maging handa sa darating na eleksyon. Bawat mag-aaral, bawat estudyante, at bawat boto ay mahalaga para sa pagbabago. Basahin, makibahagi, at pumili.

Agosto 18, 2026—Makalipas ang ilang linggo ng pagkaantala, matutuloy na sa katapusan ng buwan ang Supreme Student Council Election ng Boac Campus.

Ayon sa bagong Chairperson ng Commission on Student Election (COMSELEC), Clark Justine Jalac, dating Pangulo ng College of Education Student Organization (CoEdSO), ang eleksyon para sa pamunuan ng mag-aaral ng campus ay isasagawa mula Agosto 24 – Setyembre 01, 2026.

Upang makilatis at makilala pa ang mga kandidato sa darating na eleksyon, magsasagawa ng Miting de Avance ang COMELEC sa MarSU Gymnasium sa pakikipagtulungan sa Sentro, opisyal na publikasyon ng pamantasan, sa Agosto 24 pagkatapos ng pagtataas ng watawat.

Naglabas ng abiso ang Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs ukol dito kung saan inaasahan na ang lahat ng mag-aaral at miyembro ng institusyon ay aktibong makikilahok. Ang mga klaseng maapektuhan ay magsasagawa ng asynchronous classes hanggang tanghali, at magpapatuloy bilang face-to-face classes sa kahapunan.

Matapos nito, isasagawa ang dry run ng eleksyon mula Agosto 25 - 26 bilang paghahanda sa darating na botohan sa Agosto 27, 2026. Nakatakda ang opisyal na proklamasyon ng bagong hanay ng mga opisyal sa unang araw ng Setyembre.

Pinapaalalahanan ng Information and Communications Technology Unit (ICTU) ng unibersidad ang bawat mag-aaral na i-access ang kanilang mga account sa Student Information System (SIS), lalo na sa mga 1st Year na mag-aaral, dahil magsisilbi itong opisyal na voting system na gagamitin para sa darating na eleksyon.

Matatandang napatigil ang eleksyon sa ikalawang pagkakataon noong Hulyo 29, 2026 sapagkat kinailangang isaayos ang paghahanda mula sa seguridad sa pamamaraan ng pagboto at ang mga miyembro ng COMSELEC.

RUNNING TABULATION
To keep everyone updated on the competition, the official running tabulation of scores will be posted every Friday afternoon on the MarSU IRLO page.
DETERMINATION OF WINNERS
The participants with the highest accumulated points at the end of the challenge shall be declared the winners.

In case of a tie in total points, the following tie-breaking criteria shall apply in order:
Greater number of 1st-place (3-point) finishes;
Greater number of 2nd-place (2-point) finishes;
Earliest cumulative response time across all winning entries, as determined by the Facebook comment timestamp.
The decision of the Organizing Committee shall be final and irrevocable.

Whether you are an Integrated High School student, college student, faculty member, or university employee, this challenge is your opportunity to learn more about ASEAN while representing your college, office, or unit in a fun and friendly competition.

𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐓𝐎 𝐉𝐎𝐈𝐍

1. The MarSU ASEAN Trivia Challenge 2026 is exclusively open to all Marinduque State University (MarSU) students, Integrated High School (IHS) students, faculty members, administrative personnel, and other university employees.
2. Participants must be followers of the official 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝑺𝑼 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑹𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑳𝒊𝒏𝒌𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒔 𝑶𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆 (𝑰𝑹𝑳𝑶) 𝑭𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝑷𝒂𝒈𝒆 to qualify for the competition.
3. One (1) ASEAN-themed trivia question will be posted daily on the official MarSU International Relations and Linkages Office (IRLO) page throughout the challenge period.
4. Participants must submit their answers by commenting directly on the daily trivia post.
5. To facilitate proper identification and verification, participants must use the following format when posting their answer:

6. Only comments following the prescribed format will be considered valid.
7. 𝐃𝐎 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. Any edited comment will be automatically disqualified, regardless of whether the answer is correct. Entries will also be automatically disqualified if they contain incomplete participant information, are duplicate entries, or are submitted by participants who are not following the official MarSU IRLO page.

8. For each daily trivia question, only the first three (3) participants who submit the correct answer will earn points.

Only one (1) winning entry per participant per daily trivia question shall be counted.

To keep everyone updated on the competition, the official running tabulation of scores will be posted every Friday afternoon on the MarSU IRLO page.

The participants with the highest accumulated points at the end of the challenge shall be declared the winners.

In case of a tie in total points, the following tie-breaking criteria shall apply in order:

Greater number of 1st-place (3-point) finishes;
Greater number of 2nd-place (2-point) finishes;
Earliest cumulative response time across all winning entries, as determined by the Facebook comment timestamp.
The decision of the Organizing Committee shall be final and irrevocable.

The Office of the Vice-President for Student Affairs and Services (OVPSAS) informs the entire MarSU community that OVPSAS Advisory No. 022, s. 2025 regarding School Uniform and Other Reminders, duly approved by the Office of the University President, shall remain in effect for Academic Year 2026–2027.

Please be guided by the following:

• First-year students and transferees are required to wear the new MarSU school uniform.
• Continuing/old students may choose to wear either the new MarSU uniform or the old green school uniform.
• For students at the Main Campus, uniforms are available through the Garments Section of the Business Affairs Office (BAO).
• Students from other campuses may coordinate with their respective Campus SAS Heads regarding uniform availability.

Stepping beyond the classroom, incoming first-year college representatives embarked on a hands-on navigation challenge across Marinduque State University during the MarSU Campus Quest on July 29.

Designed as an immersive alternative to traditional orientations, the quest sent student delegations on a guided circuit through key university hubs. Delegates unlocked familiarization points at major landmarks—ranging from the Science Centrum and Learning Resource Center to the Mini Forest and Auxiliary Building. The College of Business & Accountancy (CBA) claimed 2nd place, followed by the College of Information & Computing Sciences (CICS) in 3rd, the College of Governance (CGov) in 4th, the College of Environmental Studies (CES) in 5th, and the College of Education (COED) rounding out the top rankings.

𝗜𝗖𝗬𝗠𝗜 | The Marinduque State University community gathered as one to officially kick off Academic Year 2026–2027 with a solemn yet spirit-filled Ceremonial Opening of Classes on July 27 at the University Admin Building. A Blessed Beginning: Despite a gentle drizzle, the campus came together in faith as university officials, faculty, non-teaching personnel, ROTC officers, returning students, and our new Green-and-Gold freshies attended the Back-to-School Holy Mass.

In a grounding homily, Rev. Fr. Ian Retardo of the Immaculate Conception Parish reminded MarSUans that success isn't built overnight—it is forged through daily dedication and heart.

Following the mass, the energy shifted into high gear as students streamed through the MarSU Main Gate! From familiar hallways to new opportunities, campus developments, and fresh goals, the university grounds officially buzzed back to life. Setting the Beat for A.Y. 2026–2027: Bringing color, grace, and rhythm to the morning, the MarSU-Integrated High School Drum and Lyre Corps lit up the front of the Admin Building with a high-energy performance, setting a vibrant tone for the rest of the school year.
