Excitement filled the Marinduque State University Gymnasium as the College of Information and Computing Sciences (CICS) officially welcomed its incoming freshmen during the college orientation on July 30, 2026.

During the CICS freshmen orientation, the program began with a warm message from CICS Dean Dr. Ronjie Malinao, who encouraged the students to embrace the opportunities ahead and remain committed to their academic goals. He reminded the freshmen that their journey as a student in CICS is the first step toward achieving success in their chosen field.

Addressing the freshmen, Dr. Malinao emphasized that success is built through patience, hard work, and perseverance, reminding them that the choices they make today will shape the future they aspire to achieve.

"𝘈𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘺. 𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦, 𝘦𝘧𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦, 𝘬𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘪𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦," Dr. Malinao said.

He concluded by encouraging the freshmen to embrace every learning opportunity and begin their academic journey with purpose, discipline, and determination despite the challenge they may face.

The orientation not only introduced the freshmen to campus life but also inspired them to begin their college journey with confidence, determination, and to accept the challenges ahead and proudly become part of the CICS. | 𝙑𝙞𝙖 𝙎𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝘼𝙣𝙣𝙚 𝙈𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙖
