From Humble Beginnings to Inspiring Service: The Journey of Ms. Dina Maigting Asuncion (Batch 1981)

For Ms. Dina Maigting Asuncion, a proud graduate of Bantay Elementary School Batch 1981, success is rooted in perseverance, gratitude, and a lifelong dedication to helping others.
Currently serving as the Vice President for Operations of Igros Marketing Corporation, Ms. Asuncion has built a remarkable career through hard work, determination, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Her professional journey has been recognized through numerous milestones, including awards for 25, 30, and 35 years of loyal service in 2013, 2017, and 2023. She was also honored with the Generous Award from MIST Batch '85 in 2023 and has consistently received recognition through the Gawad ng Pagkakilala for her support of outreach programs in Barangay Bantay since 2018.
Behind these achievements lies a story of resilience and sacrifice. Growing up in Bantay, Ms. Asuncion learned the value of hard work at an early age. She recalls selling vegetable crops to help support her education—a humble beginning that taught her perseverance and determination.
"Bantay Elementary School played a significant role in shaping the person I am today," she shares. "I am deeply grateful to my teachers for their guidance, support, and belief in me. Their lessons helped mold my values and continue to inspire me to stay humble, work hard, and pursue my goals."
Her commitment to service extends far beyond her professional responsibilities. Through various outreach initiatives, she has consistently demonstrated her passion for helping others. Among her notable community involvements are the annual Christmas Gift-Giving Program for children in Barangay Bantay, company-sponsored Medical Missions, and numerous outreach activities that provide wheelchairs, food assistance, and quarterly rice distributions to churches and charitable institutions.
A graduate of Marinduque Institute of Science and Technology for her secondary education and holder of a Bachelor of Science in Secretarial Administration from Laguna College of Business and Arts, she also completed studies in Computer Literacy at Systems Technology Institute (STI). Her educational journey reflects her belief in lifelong learning and personal growth.
Today, Ms. Asuncion continues to inspire fellow alumni and young learners through her example of perseverance and generosity. Her story serves as a reminder that success is not determined by where one starts, but by the determination to move forward despite challenges.
