Dear Ilayans — past, present, and forever proud,
Wow, 58 years na pala! 🎉 Who would’ve thought that a school once built on dreams and determination would grow this strong, this vibrant, and this full of life? For more than five decades, I’ve been more than just walls, chalkboards, and hallways. I’ve been your second home — the silent witness to your laughter during recess, your nervous whispers before exams, and even those legendary “kwentuhan muna bago mag-assignments” moments.
And now, as I celebrate my 58th year, I can’t help but ask — miss ko na, miss mo rin ba? Tara na sa Ilaya! 💙 Let’s come home, not just to the place, but to the feeling — the warmth, the memories, and the spirit that made us who we are.
To my dear students, you keep me young and full of life! Every giggle, every “Ma’am, may bonus point po ba ‘yan?” moment, and every curious question makes me feel alive. Keep chasing your dreams, even when the answers aren’t always in the modules, textbooks and lecture — sometimes, they’re in your courage to keep trying.
To my amazing teachers and staff, both past and present — salamat sa walang sawang pagtuturo, pag-aalaga, at minsan, pagtiis. (Yes, kasama na rin ‘yung pagharap sa printer na ayaw makisama at projector at TV na nagfi-freeze sa gitna ng lesson 😅). You are the heart and wisdom that make every generation of Ilayans shine brighter.
To my beloved alumni, wherever life has taken you — I see you, and I’m proud of you. Whether you’re leading, serving, creating, or still searching for your path, always remember: you carry a piece of Ilaya with you. And hey, it’s never too late to come home — kahit sandaling kwentuhan lang sa covered court or a walk down memory lane sa lumang building.
As I turn 58, I look back with gratitude and forward with hope. I’ve seen so many changes — from chalk and manila paper to tablets and smartboards — but one thing remains the same: the Ilayan heart that beats with resilience, humility, and pride.
So here’s to us — to every teacher who inspired, every student who dreamed, every staff member who served, and every alumnus who still feels that spark of nostalgia when they hear my name. Together, let’s keep writing the story of Ilaya National High School — a story filled with laughter, lessons, and love that never fades.
Happy 58th Founding Anniversary, Ilayans! 💙
Miss ko na, miss mo rin ba? Tara na sa Ilaya!
With love and laughter,
Your ever-proud home — Ilaya National High School
