Attention, NEMSU Students:
Due to the continuous heavy rainfall brought about by the shearline and in line with the official University advisory, all campuses of North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) shall shift to online learning modalities today, February 19, 2026.
All students are expected to attend their classes virtually as scheduled, unless otherwise advised by your instructors or if your area is under official LGU suspension. Please regularly check your class group chats, LMS, and official university communication channels for further instructions from your professors.
Students residing in low-lying, flood-prone, or high-risk areas (including locations prone to flooding or landslides) are strongly encouraged to prioritize their safety. If you are experiencing power interruptions, connectivity issues, or any emergency situation, please inform your instructors or respective campus offices immediately.

In light of the continuous heavy rainfall brought about by the shearline since last night, this advisory is issued to ensure the safety of the NEMSU academic community.
To prioritize the safety of our students, all campuses shall shift to online learning modalities today, February 19, 2026. Faculty members are advised to conduct their classes virtually as scheduled, except for campuses with official LGU work suspension issuances, which shall be implemented accordingly. In such areas, no online classes or academic activities shall be conducted.
For faculty and staff, University operations shall align with Local Government Unit (LGU) directives. Campus Directors are instructed to immediately coordinate with their respective LGUs to determine localized work suspension guidelines.
Employees residing in low-lying or high-risk areas (including locations prone to flooding or landslides) are advised to coordinate promptly with their respective Campus Directors regarding their situation. Your safety remains our top priority. Please do not hesitate to report if you are unable to physically report for work.
All personnel and students are encouraged to stay updated through official University communication channels.

In consideration of the ongoing recovery efforts following the aftermath of Typhoon Basyang, North Eastern Mindanao State University announces the conduct of online classes and academic activities for two (2) days, on February 9โ10, 2026.
This temporary adjustment aims to prioritize the safety and welfare of our academic community while ensuring continuity of essential services.

In consideration of the impact of Bagyong Basyang on our university community, the University is implementing temporary measures to prioritize your safety, well-being, and academic continuity.

This adjustment is intended to give students adequate time to recover, ensure safety, and address challenges caused by flooding, transportation issues, power interruptions, and other storm-related concerns.
๐ Academic Flexibility and Consideration
>>> Students who are unable to attend online classes or submit requirements on time due to storm-related circumstances will be given reasonable academic consideration.
>>> Extended deadlines, catch-up activities, and alternative assessments will be provided for affected students.
>>> Students are encouraged to communicate openly with their instructors regarding their situation.

>>> The strict implementation of the uniform policy is temporarily suspended.
>>> No student shall be penalized for uniform non-compliance during this recovery period.

>>> The Guidance and Counseling Units across campuses are now fully activated.
>>> Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) sessions will be conducted for students experiencing stress, trauma, or emotional distress.
