Mabog National High School Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) Relaunches Project EARTH Through “Trash to Treasure” Activity! ✨
As one of the most active learner organizations of Mabog National High School, the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) proudly relaunched its main umbrella environmental program, Project EARTH (Environmental Action and Responsibility Towards Harmony), on June 11, 2026.
Guided by its mission to develop environmentally conscious and action-oriented learners, YES-O continues to implement programs and initiatives that promote environmental protection, sustainability, and responsible citizenship among students.
As part of the relaunching of Project EARTH, YES-O successfully conducted its environmental activity entitled “Trash to Treasure.” This activity encouraged learners to transform recyclable and discarded materials into useful, creative, and innovative products, promoting the importance of proper waste management and the practice of the 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.
Through this initiative, students were able to showcase their creativity, resourcefulness, and commitment to environmental stewardship while helping create a cleaner and greener school environment. The activity also strengthened awareness on the importance of reducing waste and maximizing available resources for sustainable living.
The relaunch of Project EARTH reaffirms YES-O’s commitment to supporting the Department of Education’s core values of Makadiyos, Makatao, Makakalikasan, at Makabansa by providing meaningful opportunities for learners to actively participate in environmental conservation and community involvement.
These initiatives aim to develop learners who are not only academically competent but also environmentally responsible, socially aware, and dedicated to making a positive impact in their communities.
