On May 02, an orientation on the implementation of the ARAL Program was conducted for the parents of identified ARAL learners. The activity provided an overview of the programโs objectives and implementation, emphasizing the role of parents in supporting their childrenโs participation. The ARAL Program is a school-based learning support initiative that provides structured tutorial sessions to assist learners in strengthening their academic performance.
The orientation was led by School Head Lilibeth G. Lobo, who underscored the importance of collaboration among stakeholders for the success of the program. The identified ARAL tutors are MT I Mary Honey Malazarte, T II Rhunald Mori, and T II Mary Grace Paronda, who will facilitate the sessions.
A significant highlight of the program is the active involvement of the SELG and YES-O officers, who, under the guidance of their teacher-adviser, will serve as volunteer peer tutors. Their participation reflects strong youth leadership, volunteerism, and commitment to service as they assist in delivering peer-facilitated learning support to ARAL learners.

Under the blazing heat of the midday sun, tucked quietly among the broad, cooling leaves of the eggplants, a familiar figure moves with steady purpose. While the school corridors have fallen silent for the End-of-School-Year (EOSY) break, Teacher III Aqueliza Guadiz is far from absentโchoosing to spend part of her break in the school garden, not as an obligation, but as something she genuinely enjoys and finds meaningful.
Armed with a water sprinkler, Ma'am Guadiz spends her mornings tending to the bustling life of the school garden. For her, the break is not a departure from duty, but a shift in environmentโmoving from the chalkboards of the classroom to the fertile soil of the campus. She also finds comfort in the simple act of getting her hands dirty, cultivating and caring for the plants as part of a process she is truly passionate about.
"The plants donโt know itโs a vacation," she shared while clearing weeds from a row of seedlings. "If we leave them now, all the hard work the students and teachers put in during the school year will wither away. We are growing more than just food here; we are maintaining a legacy of sustainability."
Her presence in the garden serves as a quiet but powerful testament to the dedication of Filipino educators. It is a scene that defines "service beyond the call of duty." Even without the presence of her students, Ma'am Guadiz ensures that the schoolโs Gulayan sa Paaralan remains a verdant oasis rather than a withered memory.
As the soil cracks under the seasonal dry spell, every drop from her sprinkler is a promise of continuity. Through her consistent care, she ensures that the schoolโs efforts to keep the garden bustling and thriving remain alive. The garden continues to thrive even during the break, reflecting the sustained care and stewardship it has received throughout the school year.
Though the classrooms are empty, the lesson continues. When the students eventually return to the campus, they will not be greeted by a parched landscape, but by a lush, living sanctuary. In the hands of T-III Aqueliza Guadiz, the school garden is more than just a plot of landโit is a growing legacy that proves a teacherโs heart is rooted deep in the community, flourishing even when the rest of the world is at rest.
