A Sister’s Protective Embrace🫂

When the earthquake struck unexpectedly on the first day of school, fear spread among the learners as they rushed to safety. In the midst of the situation, Jasmine G. Villar, a Grade 6 pupil, showed remarkable courage and compassion by embracing and protecting her two younger siblings. Her calm presence and loving gesture provided comfort and reassurance during a frightening moment.

Kudos to Ate Jasmine for being a shining example of responsibility, love, and bravery at such a young age. Her instinct to care for and protect her siblings reflects the values of kindness and family that inspire us all. In a time of uncertainty, she became a source of strength and security, proving that true courage is often found in the simplest acts of love. ❤️👏🏻🌟

First day of school, first challenge conquered! 🌏📚

The opening of School Year 2026–2027 at Gerardo D. Verano Jr. Elementary School was both memorable and challenging. What began as an exciting first day of classes was unexpectedly interrupted by an earthquake. Despite the sudden event, our learners, teachers, and school personnel remained calm and immediately followed the school’s safety protocols. Through cooperation and preparedness, everyone was kept safe, demonstrating the importance of disaster readiness and the strength of our school community.

Although the earthquake brought concern and uncertainty, it did not dampen the enthusiasm of our learners as they returned to school. The experience served as a reminder that challenges can arise at any time, but with unity, discipline, and proper guidance, they can be overcome. We are grateful that all learners and personnel were safe and that the day continued peacefully after the situation was assessed.

Adding joy to the first day, school supplies were distributed to our learners to support them in their educational journey. The smiles and excitement on their faces reflected their eagerness to learn and begin a new chapter of growth and discovery. As we officially welcome School Year 2026–2027, Gerardo D. Verano Jr. Elementary School remains committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and inspiring learning environment for every child.

From Day 1 to Day 5, our school community came together in the true spirit of bayanihan to prepare a safe, clean, and learner-friendly environment for the opening of classes.

As we conclude Brigada Eskwela 2026, we extend our sincerest gratitude to all parents, volunteers, stakeholders, and community partners for their invaluable support and active participation. Special recognition was given through the “Salamat Po Award” to parents whose dedication and commitment greatly contributed to the success of this year’s Brigada Eskwela.

Your generosity, hard work, and cooperation have made a lasting impact on our school and learners. Maraming salamat po for being our partners in education!

Day 3 of Brigada Eskwela 2026 was made more meaningful through the active participation and support of our community partners and stakeholders.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗝𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗬. 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗼, 𝗦𝗞 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱, 𝗦𝗶𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗼 𝗟. 📚🎉 BRIGADA ESKWELA 2026 KICK-OFF PROGRAM 🎉📚

With the theme of unity, volunteerism, and shared responsibility, Gerardo D. Verano Jr. Elementary School officially launched its Brigada Eskwela 2026 through a successful Kick-Off Program and Parade attended by our valued stakeholders and community partners.

The activity commenced with a Brigada Eskwela Parade, symbolizing the collective commitment of the school and community in preparing for the opening of classes. This was followed by the Pledge of Commitment, Brigada Pagbasa, and Bayanihan activities, all aimed at fostering collaboration and promoting quality education for every learner.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our Barangay Captain, Hon. Evelyn G. Olano, School Head, Sir L. Cuerbo Jr., Purok President, Archie Tigas, SPTA President, Sir Rex F. Bernal., Brigada Pagbasa Guest Reader, Sir Joshua Hinampas, teachers, parents, learners, and other stakeholders whose presence and support made this event meaningful and successful.

Through teamwork, dedication, and the spirit of bayanihan, we continue to create a safe, clean, and learner-friendly environment where every child can thrive and succeed.
