On this historic day, General Emilio Aguinaldo proclaimed the nation's freedom from more than three centuries of Spanish colonial rule in Kawit, Cavite. This milestone marked the beginning of the Filipino people's journey toward self-determination and nationhood.

More than a celebration of a historic event, Independence Day serves as a reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering patriotism of the heroes who fought for our freedom. It encourages every Filipino to honor their legacy by upholding unity, preserving our hard-earned liberty, and contributing to the continued growth and progress of the nation.

Guided by the Lasallian core value of Zeal for Service, it was a tangible expression of our commitment to caring for the space that nurtures our learning and growth. With willing hands, everyone worked side by side, sweeping pathways, gathering waste, and arranging surroundings, turning the task into a meaningful act of stewardship

This appointment marks a significant moment in the history of DLSJBC as we welcome the first Executive Vice President to serve in this vital leadership role. Dr. Ejercito brings with her a wealth of experience, expertise, and distinguished service in Lasallian education. Having served as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Curriculum Development at La Salle University in Ozamiz City, she has been instrumental in shaping transformative educational programs, promoting academic quality, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

As DLSJBC embarks on a new chapter of growth and transformation, we are confident that Dr. Ejercito's leadership, passion for education, and unwavering commitment to the Lasallian mission will help guide our institution toward greater heights. Her enthusiasm, strategic vision, and dedication to learner-centered excellence will undoubtedly enrich our community and strengthen our pursuit of becoming a future-ready and mission-driven institution.
