HAPPY NUTRITION MONTH 2026!
Theme: Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!
July 2026

This July, Burgos Agro Industrial School celebrates good health and proper nutrition together! True wellness means caring for what we eat, how we move, and knowing our body’s real condition.

Following the official memorandum from the Schools Division of Ilocos Norte, we carried out a full set of wellness activities for our learners:
✅ Health Check-up: Led by our school nurse, including height & weight measurement, BMI computation, and vital signs monitoring to guide everyone on their health status.
✅ Physical Fitness Test: Assessed strength, endurance, and flexibility to help set personal fitness targets.
✅ Intayon Aggaraw Dance Exercise: A lively, culture-rich group workout that keeps bodies active while celebrating our local heritage!

Nutrition, health checks, and exercise work hand in hand: healthy food fuels us, regular movement strengthens us, and knowing our body data helps us make better choices.

Let’s keep building a healthier, stronger school community—one meal, one step, and one health goal at a time!

Thank you for your dedicated service, leadership, and commitment to the MAPEH Club. Your hard work, passion, and willingness to serve have made a positive impact on our club and inspired your fellow members.

The MAPEH Department of Burgos Agro-Industrial School is grateful to have participated in the Revised Grades 6, 9 & 10 MATATAG Curriculum Training held last July 4–5 & 11–12, 2026.

We extend our sincere thanks to Atty. Donato D. Balderas, Jr., Schools Division Superintendent of Ilocos Norte, for this valuable professional development opportunity, to Ma'am Princess Ann Infante Narciso, EPS in MAPEH for her guidance and support, and our deepest appreciation goes to our School Principal, Dr. Angelito T. Bautista, for always encouraging us to grow and improve.

PHYSICAL FITNESS TEST (PFT) 2026 | Burgos Agro-Industrial School

In compliance with Division Memorandum No. 134, s. 2026 and DepEd Order No. 34, s. 2019, Burgos Agro-Industrial School successfully conducted the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) for all learners for School Year 2026–2027. The activity aims to assess learners' health-related and skill-related fitness levels and provide baseline data for planning effective physical fitness and wellness programs.

The successful implementation of this activity was made possible through the guidance and unwavering support of Angelito T. Bautista, School Principal II, whose leadership continues to strengthen the school's commitment to promoting the health, wellness, and holistic development of every BAIS learner.

The activity was spearheaded by the MAPEH Department, headed by Richard D. Caldoza, Teacher I and MAPEH Coordinator, together with the dedicated MAPEH teachers who administered the different components of the Physical Fitness Test while ensuring the proper implementation of DepEd standards and protocols.

Prior to the administration of the fitness tests, Imelda E. Garcia, School Nurse, conducted the learners' vital signs assessment, including the measurement of height, weight, and Body Mass Index (BMI), ensuring that all participants were physically fit and safe to participate in the activity.

The MAPEH Club, under the leadership of Chelsea Ann Baliscao, MAPEH Club President, actively led the warm-up exercises and encouraged fellow learners to participate enthusiastically, fostering teamwork, discipline, and the importance of maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.

Together, let us continue building a stronger, healthier, and more active BAIS community.

PROJECT INTAYON, AGGARAW 2026 | Burgos Agro-Industrial School

In compliance with Division Memorandum No. 47, s. 2026, Burgos Agro-Industrial School officially implemented Project INTAYON, AGGARAW: A Localized Dance Routine Exercise as part of its commitment to promoting learners' health, wellness, and appreciation of the rich cultural heritage of Ilocos Norte. The initiative integrates dance-based physical activities into school programs to encourage active, healthy, and holistic lifestyles among learners.

The successful implementation of this division-wide initiative was made possible through the guidance and unwavering support of Angelito T. Bautista, School Principal II, whose leadership continues to strengthen the school's commitment to quality education, learner wellness, and the promotion of culturally responsive school-based activities.

The activity was spearheaded by the MAPEH Department, headed by Richard D. Caldoza, Teacher I and MAPEH Coordinator, together with the dedicated MAPEH teachers who facilitated the proper implementation of the INTAYON, AGGARAW dance routine during MAPEH classes, wellness activities, warm-up exercises, and every Monday Flag Ceremony in accordance with the division guidelines.

The MAPEH Club, under the leadership of Chelsea Ann Baliscao, MAPEH Club President, actively led the dance exercise and inspired fellow learners to participate enthusiastically, promoting physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, and pride in the cultural traditions of Ilocos Norte.

Together, let us continue moving, dancing, and celebrating our culture as we build a stronger, healthier, and more active BAIS community.
