A new academic year is here, bringing new subjects, new professors, new classmates, and new challenges. And of course, another round of the classic “𝘔𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘣𝘢 𝘵𝘢𝘺𝘰?”, “𝘈𝘯𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘮 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯?”, 𝘢𝘵 “𝘔𝘢𝘺 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘬 𝘣𝘢 𝘴𝘪 𝘔𝘢’𝘢𝘮/𝘚𝘪𝘳?” 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴.😂

But beyond the deadlines, quizzes, reports, lesson plans, demonstrations, and group works na minsan mas challenging pa sa exam 😅, every experience brings you one step closer to becoming the educator you aspire to be. 💙

🌱 To our freshmen, welcome to a whole new adventure.
💙 To our returning students, welcome back — alam na 'to! 😂
🎓 And to those getting closer to graduation, konting push pa… malapit nang maging “Ma’am” at “Sir” for real! 🥹✨

May this school year bring friendships worth keeping, lessons worth remembering, classroom moments worth laughing about, and experiences that will make your journey as future educators even more meaningful.

So wear that uniform, bring your baon, charge your phone, prepare your best “𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐦/𝐒𝐢𝐫!” voice, and step into another school year ready to learn, grow, and make memories. 🌟

With heads held high and hearts filled with gratitude, 𝟒𝟎𝟗 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐁𝐢𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 proudly crossed the commencement stage during the 𝟒𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐬 of Pangasinan State University on July 29, 2026, at the CSI Stadia, Lucao, Dagupan City.

Anchored on the theme, “𝐏𝐒𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐚 𝐇𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐛𝐨𝐠 𝐬𝐚 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐝: 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐨, 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧, 𝐚𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐧𝐚 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐬𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐤𝐚𝐥,” the ceremony marked not only the culmination of years of academic perseverance but also the beginning of a lifelong commitment to lead with honor, serve with compassion, and uphold the values that define every PSUnian.

The graduates were formally presented by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐡 𝐁. 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐭, Campus Executive Director, and subsequently conferred their degrees by University President 𝐃𝐫. 𝐄𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐌. 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐬, signifying their transition from students to professionals ready to make meaningful contributions to society.

In his inspirational message, President Galas reminded the graduates that while the world continues to evolve through technological advancement and global opportunities, integrity remains the true measure of success. He emphasized that a diploma is only the beginning, while character will define the legacy each graduate leaves behind.

“𝑨𝒏𝒈 𝒅𝒊𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒎𝒂 𝒏𝒂 𝒊𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒈𝒂𝒑𝒊𝒏 𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒚𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒚 𝒔𝒊𝒎𝒃𝒐𝒍𝒐 𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒌𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒌𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒂𝒈𝒖𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒚, 𝒏𝒈𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒚 𝒏𝒂 𝒔𝒖𝒌𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒏 𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒂𝒈𝒌𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒐 𝒂𝒕 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒔𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒎𝒐 𝒔𝒂 𝒎𝒈𝒂 𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒏𝒂 𝒕𝒂𝒐𝒏.”

He further challenged the graduates to become humane, patriotic, and globally competitive professionals, reminding them that the true meaning of being a PSUnian is reflected not only in academic excellence but in serving others with compassion, honor, and unwavering integrity.

Serving as 𝐆𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫, 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐨 𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐞 𝐈𝐈𝐈 encouraged the graduates to protect the one possession that cannot be bought or replaced—their name and reputation.

“𝑯𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒊 𝒌𝒂𝒚𝒐 𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒃𝒐𝒈 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒂 𝒎𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒈. 𝑯𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒃𝒐𝒈 𝒌𝒂𝒚𝒐 𝒖𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒂𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒂𝒚 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒅 𝒂𝒕 𝒎𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒈𝒌𝒂𝒌𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒂𝒏.”

He reminded the Class of 2026 that while intelligence may open opportunities, it is trustworthiness and integrity that sustain a meaningful career and lasting public confidence.

Representing the graduating class, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐞 𝐒. 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐲, 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐚 𝐂𝐮𝐦 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐞 graduate of the 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 from the Binmaley Campus, delivered a heartfelt message that shifted the audience’s attention beyond medals and diplomas, reminding everyone that every graduate carries a story that cannot be measured by academic records alone.

She reflected that while transcripts capture grades and achievements, they can never fully tell the countless sacrifices, quiet battles, and moments of resilience that shaped each student’s journey toward graduation.

“𝑴𝒂𝒚 𝒎𝒈𝒂 𝒍𝒖𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒏𝒂𝒌𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒕𝒂. 𝑴𝒂𝒚 𝒎𝒈𝒂 𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒏𝒂𝒌𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒈. 𝑴𝒂𝒚 𝒎𝒈𝒂 𝒍𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒏 𝒏𝒂 𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒏𝒂𝒌𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒏. 𝑵𝒈𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕 𝒊𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒍𝒐𝒚 𝒑𝒂 𝒓𝒊𝒏.”

Her words resonated deeply with the graduating class, paying tribute to the unseen struggles behind every smile on the commencement stage—from students who worked while studying and families who sacrificed for their children’s education, to dreams that survived despite countless reasons to give up. She reminded her fellow graduates that their greatest victory was not merely earning a degree, but choosing to persevere through every challenge that stood in the way.

Before leaving the podium, Giray challenged the Class of 2026 to allow their education to become a source of hope for others, leaving behind a question that extended far beyond the graduation ceremony:

“𝑲𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒈 𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒑𝒐𝒔 𝒏𝒂 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒌𝒖𝒘𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒐, 𝒌𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒌𝒖𝒘𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒂𝒔 𝒎𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂 𝒅𝒂𝒉𝒊𝒍 𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒂𝒉𝒂𝒈𝒊 𝒂𝒌𝒐 𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒐?”

The question transformed the ceremony from a celebration of graduation into a challenge for every member of the Class of 2026—to build careers marked not only by professional excellence, but by lives dedicated to creating meaningful change in the communities they will one day serve.

As the blue and gold abarays filled the venue with pride, the graduates of PSU Binmaley Campus officially joined the growing community of PSU alumni, ready to carry the University’s banner wherever life leads them. Equipped with knowledge, strengthened by resilience, and grounded in integrity, the Class of 2026 now embarks on a new chapter—not merely as degree holders, but as future educators, fisheries professionals, criminologists, environmentalists, and nation-builders committed to creating a better future for their communities and the country.

Success wore many faces as PSU Binmaley Campus honored the outstanding achievements, leadership, excellence, and resilience of the graduating Class of 2026 during its Baccalaureate Mass and Recognition Ceremony held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at the Sison Auditorium, Lingayen, Pangasinan. Guided by the theme, "Kampeon sa Bawat Larangan, Tanglaw ng Bayan: Pagkilala sa Holistikong Tagumpay at Ambag ng Mag-aaral ng PSU Binmaley," the ceremony recognized not only academic excellence but also the character, service, and lasting impact of every awardee.

The day's celebration commenced with a solemn Baccalaureate Mass, where Father Jerald Jimenez delivered a heartfelt reminder that tears are not signs of weakness but reflections of gratitude, resilience, and the countless sacrifices that shaped every graduate's journey toward this significant milestone.

Formally opening the Recognition Ceremony, Campus Executive Director Dr. Joseph B. Campit congratulated the graduating class for reaching one of the most meaningful milestones of their academic lives. He acknowledged the unwavering dedication of the graduates, the sacrifices of their parents and families, and the commitment of the faculty and staff whose collective efforts transformed years of perseverance into well-deserved success. He emphasized that every recognition received is a testament not only to academic excellence but also to the character, discipline, and resilience nurtured within the PSU Binmaley community.

Serving as the inspirational speaker, Mr. Francis Kim Penuliar, Topnotcher of the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers and a proud PSU Binmaley alumnus, shared his inspiring journey from adversity to achievement. He recounted how, at a young age, he had to support himself and his siblings after both of his parents were incarcerated. During the pandemic, he sold balut for nearly two years before returning to school through the encouragement of his friends. Although he graduated without Latin honors or even becoming a Dean's Lister, he challenged himself to become a board examination topnotcher. While reviewing for the board exam, he worked as a promodiser to sustain his needs, proving that perseverance and determination can overcome any circumstance. His story became a powerful reminder to every graduate that one's beginning does not determine one's destination.

Representing the graduating class, Magna Cum Laude Sherie Mae S. Giray delivered the Dedication Message, honoring the sacrifices of parents, mentors, and loved ones who stood beside the graduates throughout their academic journey. Meanwhile, Class President Shekenah Leila D. Guiang expressed the Class of 2026's heartfelt gratitude to the University community for shaping them into future professionals and responsible citizens.

Joining the celebration was BFAR Regional Director Remely B. Lachica, who congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to continue pursuing excellence, uphold integrity, and use their knowledge and skills in serving their communities and the nation. Representing BFAR during the awarding ceremony were Ms. May Ann L. Maningding, Regional FSP Coordinator, and Ms. Antonietta D. Evangelista, Provincial Fisheries Officer–Pangasinan.

Apart from the University's awards, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Regional Office I also recognized its Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences scholars with Certificates of Recognition, plaques for Latin honor recipients, tokens, and monetary awards, reaffirming BFAR's commitment to supporting academic excellence among future fisheries professionals.

In his closing remarks, Dean of Student and Alumni Affairs Dr. Romeo A. Caloza encouraged the graduates to carry the values of excellence, integrity, and service as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.

More than a recognition of achievements, the ceremony celebrated the resilience, determination, and dreams of the Class of 2026—graduates who now leave PSU Binmaley prepared to become champions in their respective fields and meaningful contributors to society.
