Typhoon Safety Reminders
With the rains and strong winds, letβs all stay alert and take care of each other.
Here are Typhoon Safety Tips for everyone:
BEFORE THE TYPHOON
Monitor Updates - Listen to PAGASA, LGU, and CMMSI announcements for class suspensions.
Emergency Kit - Prepare flashlight, powerbank, first aid kit, medicines, food, water, and important documents in a waterproof bag.
Secure Home - Check roof, windows, and clear drainage. Tie down things outside that can be blown away.
Charge Devices - Make sure phones and powerbanks are fully charged.
DURING THE TYPHOON
Stay Indoors - Avoid going out. Stay away from windows and doors.
Avoid Flooded Areas - Never wade in flood water. Watch out for live wires and open canals.
Unplug Appliances - To avoid power surges and short circuits.
Keep Communication Open - Update your teacher/class adviser and family members.
AFTER THE TYPHOON
Check Your Surroundings - Be careful of fallen trees, debris, and damaged wires.
Boil Drinking Water - Ensure water is clean and safe.
Report Concerns - If you need help, contact your barangay or CMMSI adviser.
FOR CMMSI STUDENTS & PARENTS
Prioritize Safety over Attendance - We understand if you cannot go out.
Keep Learning Going - Wait for advisories from your teachers for any asynchronous activities.
Check on Each Other - A quick message to classmates and teachers means a lot.
Remember: CMMSI FAMILY, WE LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER.
If you need assistance, please reach out to your class adviser or the school.
Praying for everyoneβs safety. π
