School-Based In-Service Training (INSET) for Teachers

The second day of the School-Based In-Service Training (INSET) for teachers of Kalinawan Elementary School began with attendance, log-in, and an opening program. The day's activities were designed to further enhance teachers' professional competencies and promote effective, inclusive, and responsive teaching practices.
The first session, Creating Inclusive, Safe, and Supportive Classrooms, facilitated by Ms. Cherry C. Cequena, highlighted the importance of establishing a positive learning environment where every learner feels valued, respected, and supported. Participants gained insights into strategies that foster inclusivity and ensure the well-being of all learners.
This was followed by Differentiated Instruction: Addressing Diverse Learners' Needs, presented by Ms. Pinky A. Aralar. The session focused on instructional approaches that accommodate the varied learning styles, abilities, and interests of learners, enabling teachers to provide equitable learning opportunities and improve student engagement and achievement.
In the afternoon, Ms. Jhen Karen T. Nido facilitated the session on Effective Classroom Assessment and Feedback. Teachers were equipped with practical assessment strategies and techniques for providing constructive feedback that promotes continuous learning and academic growth.
Another significant session, Teacher Wellness, Resilience, and Stress Management, was conducted by Ms. Vanessa C. Bidayan. The discussion emphasized the importance of maintaining physical, mental, and emotional well-being while balancing the demands of the teaching profession. Participants learned effective coping mechanisms and self-care practices to strengthen resilience and sustain professional effectiveness.
Following the learning sessions, participants presented their outputs and engaged in the Sharing of Best Practices and Successful Classroom Strategies. This collaborative activity provided an opportunity for teachers to showcase their learning, exchange experiences, and learn from one anotherβs effective classroom practices.
The two-day School-Based INSET formally concluded with a Closing Program, during which the highlights, accomplishments, and key learnings from the training were reflected upon and celebrated. Messages of appreciation and encouragement were delivered, recognizing the active participation, dedication, and commitment of all teachers to continuous professional development and excellence in teaching.
The event culminated in the Awarding of Certificates to all participants, resource speakers, and facilitators in recognition of their valuable contributions and successful completion of the two-day seminar-workshop. This ceremony served as a testament to the teachersβ commitment to lifelong learning and their unwavering dedication to providing quality, inclusive, and learner-centered education.
Overall, the successful completion of the two-day School-Based INSET enriched the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies of the teachers of Kalinawan Elementary School, empowering them to become more effective, resilient, and innovative educators in meeting the diverse needs of their learners.
