Binalonan South Central School Joins Nation in Celebrating DepEd’s 127th Founding Anniversary
Binalonan, Pangasinan – In proud observance of the 127th Founding Anniversary of the Department of Education (DepEd), Binalonan South Central School headed by the School Principal III. Ma. Lourdes R. Fernandez actively took part in a meaningful celebration held on June 23, 2025, highlighting the theme: 'Empowered Workforce, Transformed Education: Strengthening Service for a Brighter Future.'
The program commenced with solemn preliminaries, beginning with an opening prayer, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. A heartfelt recitation of the Panunumpa sa Katapatan sa Watawat ng Pilipinas was led by the Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) President, Faye McKenzie Pajarin, reflecting the school’s commitment to instilling nationalism among its learners.
Adding energy and excitement to the event was a lively Zumba session participated in by both pupils and school staff, encouraging physical wellness and camaraderie. The session was followed by insightful short message by Josephine C. Casabar. Her talk focused on the significance of DepEd’s founding anniversary. “This reminds us that behind every transformed learner is an empowered educator. Through unity, dedication, and continuous growth, we strengthen our service to the Filipino youth and pave the way for a more inclusive, innovative, and hopeful future in education” she said.
