Last Thursday, ๐Ÿ“… ๐—™๐—ฒ๐—ฏ๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฒ, ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฒ, De La Salle University and Inje University marked an important milestone; formalizing their partnership through the ๐Ÿ–‹ signing of a ๐— ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐˜‚๐—บ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—”๐—ด๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ (๐— ๐—ข๐—”) establishing a collaborative partnership with the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disease Center of Inje University. This partnership supports the DOST-funded Program AlPaS, which focuses on innovative approaches for the treatment of diabetic ulcers through advanced wound monitoring, plant-extract-based hydrogels, and specialized composite dressings.

The day continued with the research seminar โ€œ๐˜พ๐™ช๐™ฉ๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ-๐™€๐™™๐™œ๐™š ๐˜ผ๐™ฅ๐™ฅ๐™ง๐™ค๐™–๐™˜๐™๐™š๐™จ ๐™ž๐™ฃ ๐˜ฝ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ก๐™ค๐™œ๐™ž๐™˜๐™–๐™ก ๐™Ž๐™˜๐™ž๐™š๐™ฃ๐™˜๐™š๐™จ ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐˜ฝ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ข๐™š๐™™๐™ž๐™˜๐™–๐™ก ๐™€๐™ฃ๐™œ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™š๐™š๐™ง๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œโ€, where six speakers from both institutions shared insights on emerging areas such as microfluidic systems, computational materials design, animal-based bioengineering, cardiovascular research, multi-omics analysis, and precision fermentation for biologics and therapeutics. ๐Ÿ”ฌ๐Ÿง

The gathering served as an opportunity for both institutions to strengthen their partnership, as well as align their shared vision for advancing collaborative research and innovation.

Over a ๐Ÿฅ‚ shared meal, researchers and program representatives engaged in meaningful conversations about potential areas of cooperation, ongoing initiatives, and the goals of Program AlPaS. The discussion highlighted the value of international collaboration in addressing scientific and technological challenges while promoting knowledge exchange between the Philippines and South Korea ๐Ÿš€.

Beyond formal planning, the meeting fostered a ๐Ÿค welcoming atmosphere where participants could connect on a personal level, exchange ideas, and explore ways to maximize the impact of their partnership. These conversations helped lay a strong foundation for the official MOA signing scheduled for the following day.
