On 📅 May 26, 2026, DLSU BioFab proudly facilitated a productive meeting with Dr. Marites Pasuelo Melancon, Ph.D., Professor in the Department of Interventional Radiology, Division of Diagnostic Imaging, at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

The meeting brought together research assistants, faculty members, and administrators from the Gokongwei College of Engineering (GCOE) and the College of Science (COS) at De La Salle University for a meaningful exchange of ideas on potential areas of interdepartmental and inter-institutional cooperation.

Over a shared morning of coffee and traditional Filipino kakanin, researchers and faculty engaged in discussions on the value of cross-disciplinary collaboration in addressing scientific challenges. The conversation particularly explored how next-generation biomaterials, nanomedicine, and targeted delivery systems can bridge engineering and the sciences while promoting knowledge exchange across institutions. 🚀
