Laguna - February 16, 2026

Students from public high schools can take the DSHAPE for free. Scholarships will be granted to top passers.

The De La Salle University, through the Academy, and the National Institute of Technology, Akashi College, reaffirmed their commitment as institutional partners through the recently concluded Ceremonial Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding for Academic Exchange and a Memorandum of Agreement for Student Exchange on December 11, 2026, at the De La Salle University, Manila Campus.

Br. Bernard S. Oca, FSC, the university president, reflected on the 10 years of the partnership as manifested through the years of meaningful student exchange programs with the DLSU’s senior high school. Dr. Nobukazu Doi, NIT Akashi College’s President, expressed his aspirations for a deeper partnership between the two institutions.

The ceremony is also attended by Dr. Anthony SF Chu, Vice President for External Relations and Internationalization, Dr. Jonathan Dungca, Vice President for Laguna Campus, Dr. Ederlina Nocon, Dean of the Academy, Mr. Engelbert Talunton, Head of Senior High School of the Academy, Mr. Hanzel Gapayao, Assistant Dean for External Affairs and Lasallian Mission, and Prof. John Herbert from NIT Akashi College.

Anya bagged three awards at the 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝑹𝒐𝒃𝒐𝒕 𝑮𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒔 2025, which had 350 delegates from Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the Philippines. The competition was held last November 26 - 29, 2025, at Taipei, Taiwan, to encourage students to explore robotics through hands-on building, friendly competition, and practical applications of science and technology.
