S.O.S.-Summer Opportunities of Service

The Lasallian Mission Office piloted its new program, Summer Opportunities of Service (S.O.S.), from May 11-14, 2026, at Labo Elementary School, Sitio Labo, Brgy. Conrazon, Bansud, Oriental Mindoro.

The SOS Program is meant to be another avenue for all Lasallian stakeholders to live out the value of faith through the generous offer of their time, resources, talents & skills to partner with communities in the areas still “groping in darkness” and less reached by the many.

Together and by association, the Lasallian volunteers, along with some members of the LMO Team, ventured bravely and courageously the roads less traveled under the scorching weather of summer just to achieve their purpose-driven goal to serve, to learn, and to grow with our Mangyan brothers and sisters up in the mountains of Bansud, Oriental Mindoro.

SOS, as experienced by the pioneer group, was indeed a humbling experience that left them with remarkable personal and spiritual growth. It was an experience of finding oneself, finding the purpose of life, living the joy of simplicity, and finding real peace, even for a brief period.

KUDOS to the pioneer group for living out the ANIMO! May Jesus live in our hearts, forever!!!

A house of prayer, a heart of faith.

In the midst of our busy lives, God continually invites us to return to Him—not only through sacred spaces, but through hearts that remain open, trusting, and faithful. Prayer becomes more than a practice; it becomes the quiet foundation that strengthens us, heals us, and draws us closer to His presence.

Today, May 29, on aReX: [Animo Reflection Experience], Dr. Christine Joy Ballada, Dean, Br. Andrew Gonzalez, FSC College of Education (BAGCED), reflects on how faith transforms both the spaces we enter and the hearts we carry each day.

Listen. Watch. Reflect.

Because when our hearts become houses of prayer, faith begins to dwell within us more deeply.
