BUILDING A SAFER SCHOOL:
1250 HARDHATS Donated to Boost School Earthquake Resilience

JULY 1, 2026 — Through the generosity of Sir Barry Ricabar, a civil contractor by profession, a former President of Silcas Homeowner Association and Former President of the Federated Homeowner of San Francisco Binan, SFES received 1250 hardhats with whistle for earthquake readiness.

This generous donation is the achievement of 100% protection coverage for our SFES learners. Beyond the physical inventory, the presence of these 1,250 hardhats has significantly boosted morale and confidence. Students and teachers now perform their duties and participate in safety drills with peace of mind, knowing they are physically shielded from unpredictable overhead hazards. The donation has effectively transformed our school from a vulnerable into an active model of safety readiness.

This act represents a truly historic milestone, as an initiative of this scale has never happened before in our school's history. This breakthrough achievement was made possible through the proactive leadership of our School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA), headed by President John Kenneth Lopez and his dedicated board of officers, who took the vital initiative to contact external sponsors and successfully secure this critical safety equipment.

On June 30, 2026, selected Kindergarten pupils were blessed with school uniforms and school supplies and Science Human Anatomy Models through the generosity of Colegio San Agustin – Biñan City.

This simple act of kindness reminds us that true greatness is found in humility, compassion, and love. Every uniform given, every notebook shared, and every smile inspired reflects the hope that no child should be left behind in their journey of learning.

SFES TIGHTENS SECURITY

SAN FRANCISCO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL is implementing enhanced safety measures this term to ensure a secure environment for students and staff. The school has upgraded physical security infrastructure across all premises and centralized visitor check-in systems.

"Our goal is to together, we create a school where every learner feels safe, respected and ready to learn. "

Visible security measures work hand-in-hand with daily situational awareness.

In addition, school is increasing the frequency of safety drills. Students and staff will practice evacuation, and severe weather protocols within the first three weeks of classes. Mental health support teams are also expanding to provide early intervention and support for students in crisis.

On June 23, 2026, the English Computerized Learning Program (ECLP) was successfully installed in the ICT Room of San Francisco Elementary School. A total of 24 laptop/computers are now equipped with the ECLP software to support and enhance English language learning.

National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) Successfully Conducted at San Francisco Elementary School

The School actively participated in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) held on June 18, 2026. The activity aimed to strengthen the preparedness and awareness of learners, teachers, and school personnel in responding effectively during earthquake emergencies.

Through the drill, participants practiced the proper "Duck, Cover, and Hold" procedure and followed established evacuation protocols to ensure safety in the event of a real earthquake. The activity highlighted the importance of disaster preparedness, presence of mind, and coordinated response in protecting lives during emergencies.

We extend our appreciation to all learners, teaching and non-teaching personnel, SPTA Officers, parents, and to the Brgy. Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committee (BDRRMC) of San Francisco for their cooperation and active participation in making this activity a success.

This accomplishment would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our stakeholders, especially our hardworking teachers and volunteer tutors who devoted their time and expertise to help our learners strengthen their reading skills during the summer break.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our PSDS, Doc. Charity Mae Satoquia, to our school principal, sir Delio Escaňo, volunteer teachers, SPTA officers, Brgy. Officials, PESO representatives, SDO Biňan personnel, parents, and community volunteer for their invaluable contributions to the success of the program.

BUILDING BRIDGES: A General Orientation for Parents

SAN FRANCISCO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL welcomes families at annual General Parent Orientation for SY 2026–2027

BINAN CITY, LAGUNA — To strengthen the vital connection between home and classroom, SFES officially launched School Year 2026–2027 by hosting its annual General Orientation for Parents and Guardians at the School Covered Court on June 11, 2026.

The general assembly drew a massive turnout of enthusiastic parents and guardians eager to collaborate with the school administration for the new academic year.

The orientation aimed to align parental expectations with the school's vision, present academic policies, and discuss safety and student welfare programs for the upcoming year.

The event opened with an inspiring address from School Principal, Sir Delio E. Escaño, who welcomed and emphasized the theme of active partnership in the post-pandemic digital age.

During the primary plenary session, school coordinators briefed families on updated academic curriculums, grading systems, and student welfare policies. Key discussions also centered on enhanced campus safety measures and modern digital tools integrated for student learning this year.

The event concluded with an interactive Open Forum, allowing parents to clarify schedules and student guidelines directly with the school administration. Families then moved to respective classrooms for homeroom orientations and the election of new Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) officers.

Class advisers facilitated the election of the Homeroom Parent-Teacher Association (HPTA) officers and discussed specific classroom rules.
