To celebrate Nutrition Month 2026, San Francisco Elementary School has started the School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) for School Year 2026-2027.
The program demonstrates DepEd's commitment to improving learners' nutrition by providing healthy meals to selected beneficiaries. Beyond addressing hunger, the SBFP promotes overall health, supports school attendance, and enhances readiness to learn. It helps learners succeed both in and out of the classroom.
This Nutrition Month reminds us that good nutrition is the foundation of quality education. Together with our parents, teachers, and stakeholders, we remain committed to nurturing healthier, stronger, and more successful learners.

July 10, 2026, face-to-face classes at San Francisco Elementary School were suspended following the class suspension declared in Biñan City, Laguna due to inclement weather. In compliance with the Department of Education's guidelines on learning continuity, classes were shifted to Home-Based Learning (HINAY) to ensure that learning continued despite the suspension.
Teachers immediately informed learners and parents through class group chats regarding the implementation of home-based learning. Learning activities and instructional materials were disseminated to learners, with teachers providing guidance and support through appropriate communication platforms.
Parents and guardians were encouraged to assist and monitor their children's participation in the assigned learning tasks. Teachers also remained available to respond to learners' questions and provide necessary academic support throughout the day.
The implementation of Home-Based Learning enabled the school to continue educational activities while prioritizing the safety and well-being of learners, teachers, and the entire school community during the weather disturbance.

STRONGER TOGETHER: Mr. Ricabar with SPTA to Champion Franciscan Student Athletes
JULY 7, 2026 — “The energy on the school grounds has always been fueled by the passion of its students, but passion alone cannot replace a worn-out sepak takraw, a torn volleyball net, or a shortage of proper training gear.”
Recognizing this gap, the School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) Officers set out on a mission: to ensure that no student’s athletic potential is sidelined by a lack of resources.
Believing deeply in the power of collaboration, the SPTA envisioned a bridge connecting the immediate needs of the school’s sports program with the generosity of the local community. They didn’t just want to buy equipment; they wanted to build a network of support that showed student-athletes their dreams were worth investing in.
Through dedicated outreach and shared vision, Mr. Barry Ricabar eagerly stepped up to answer the call.
Thanks to this powerful partnership, the SFES recently welcomed a 20 sepak takraw balls.
Mr. Ricabar provided the resources, while the SPTA together with Mr. Jem Joseph Garcia, School Sport Coordinator, served as the driving force to deliver these tools directly into the hands of the atheletes.
We aren’t just handing over sports equipment—we are giving our student-athletes the confidence to compete, the tools to succeed, and the knowledge that an entire community is cheering them on from the sidelines.
Because when it comes to nurturing the champions of tomorrow, we are truly stronger together.

SAFEFY FIRST: SPTA × Barangay San Francisco Medicine Kit Donation
Yesterday, July 6, 2026 — “When the community protects its youth, parents breathe a little easier, teachers can focus on guiding minds, and students can explore, play, and learn with confidence.”
Through the "Safety First" initiative, the SPTA acted as the vital link between the school's immediate medical needs and the resources of the local government. Recognizing that a well-equipped clinic and classroom is the first line of defense for student wellness, the Barangay San Francisco headed by Barangay Captain Geminiano “Manong” Catalon, generously stepped forward to sponsor comprehensive medicine kits packed with essential first-aid supplies, emergency medicines, and healthcare essentials
By equipping our classrooms and school clinic with these kits, the SPTA and the Barangay are ensuring that teachers and staff have the exact tools they need to respond swiftly and effectively to any minor medical situation.
This donation is more than just a collection of bandages and medicine; it is a powerful testament to what can be achieved when local leaders and parents unite. It proves that when we put Safety First, we create a nurturing shield around our children, ensuring they remain healthy, protected, and ready to succeed.
