‎= Your inner sense of self and the gender group you belong to
‎This may or may not be the same as your s*x assigned at birth

‎Gender Expression 🎨
‎= How you express your gender to the world
‎Through behavior, clothing, grooming, roles, and ideas
‎This can be influenced by your s*x assigned at birth and/or your identity

‎So what’s the purpose of SOGIE? 💡
‎SOGIE is about recognizing and respecting every person’s Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Gender Expression.

‎It promotes:
‎✅ Equal treatment
‎✅ No discrimination
‎✅ Same opportunities in education, work, healthcare, and public services
‎
‎It does NOT give special rights.
‎It protects the dignity and rights of ALL individuals. 🤝

‎Now here’s the real talk: 🗣️

‎It’s funny how people preach respect,
‎but forget it the moment someone lives their truth.

‎SOGIE isn’t about asking for special treatment.
‎It’s about having the same respect, safety, and opportunities that everyone else already has.

‎No one should have to hide who they are just to be accepted. 💜

‎At the end of the day:
‎Being different doesn’t hurt anyone — but discrimination does.

‎So before judging someone, ask yourself:
‎Does their identity really affect my life,
‎or is it my perspective that needs to change? 🤔
