6TH BIÑAN FOLK DANCE FESTIVAL
“The Dances of Yesteryears: Rural Dance”

Mechanics:
1. Open for all public and private junior, senior high schools and colleges in the City of Biñan.

2. Groups must have a minimum of 8 and maximum of 16 members including props men.

3. Contestants shall perform two numbers, in sequence:
(1) Traditional dance from Biñan “Maglalatik” (Maglalatik music can be downloaded from this link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Gx-9MG4NWQoOnM9kZBuS08Cf_9iWMJoF?usp=sharing), and
(2) choice of any Rural Philippine folk dance

4. Contestants shall provide their own props; use of set pieces (panels) are not allowed. Lighting and video provisions are not allowed.

5. The choice piece music must be on USB-MP3 format. Live music or musicians are not allowed.

6. The use of real fighting armor, liquid, fire or pyrotechnics, breaking of glass or pots, and the likes are strictly prohibited.

CHOICE PIECE (50%)
Performance (Precision, Timing and Rhythm) 30%
Mastery (Synchronization, Coherence and Unity) 30%
Interpretation (Authentic interpretation of literature) 20%
Stage Deportment (Costume, Presence, Posture) 20%
TOTAL 100%

CONTEST PIECE “MAGLALATIK” (50%)

| Ayon sa latest forecast ng DOST-PAGASA (Oct 28, 5 AM) nakataas na po ang TCWS #1 sa Laguna.

Dahil sa inaasahang sama ng panahon dala ng bagyo, suspendido ang klase ngayong Biyernes, October 28, 2022 mula Nursery hanggang Senior High sa pampubliko at pribadong paaralan sa buong lalawigan ng Laguna.
