To encourage and boost our farmer’s knowledge on vermicomposting, the Extension and Training Division together with the Regional Vermicompost and Vermimeal Production Center for Region 7 of BISU-Bilar conducted a hands-on training in vermiculture and vermicomposting production participated by the Farmers Association of barangay Zamora & Roxas.
The training program marked a successful integration of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The dynamic collaboration between Dr. Noel T. Lomosbog, Bernardo Bautista Jr., and their team ensured that participants had a theoretical understanding and the hands-on experience required for effective vermiculture practices.

To emphasize the protection and underscore the critical importance of conserving biodiversity, the Department of Forestry and Environmental Science (DFES) with the support of the Extension Services Office of BISU-Bilar Campus conducted a whole-day seminar-workshop on Biodiversity Conservation last November 28, 2023, held at Agriculture Bldg., Room 5.

The seminar-workshop served as a dynamic forum for exchanging knowledge and ideas, and emphasized the shared responsibility of individuals, organizations, and the government in preserving biodiversity.

Bohol Island State University-Bilar Campus in collaboration with the National Irrigation Administration- Region 7 aims to improve the community's economic standing by providing training that enhances their ability to innovate agricultural products into viable ones.

The Department of Hospitality Management and Industrial Technology of BISU-Bilar Campus, led by Dr. Nelia Catayas, conducted a training entitled LIVELIHOOD SKILLS TRAINING ON SQUASH PROCESSING in various areas of Bohol where the clientele are farmers and members of NIA-7 Irrigation Associations.
