During the 32nd Founding Anniversary of Trimex Colleges, Biñan City Senior High School - West Campus triumphed in the Brain Blitz 2026, reigning as the consecutive three time champion in the competition.
Conducted in the Gabaldon Hall in Biñan Elementary School, students from other schools, including West Campus participated in the event on March 10.
According to Trimex Colleges, this is a competition to cultivate and showcase the students’ appreciation of the academic field.
Three teams total in West Campus were chosen to represent the school in the Brain Blitz 2026, separated accordingly by their strand with the guidance of their coach, Leonard Manalo.
Team A, consisting of Grade 12 HUMSS students, Jahrein Lee Alavaren, Raymond Nomorosa, and John Gabriel Pacheco bagged the 4th place.
Meanwhile, Team B, with a lineup of three Grade 12 STEM students, Ethan Matthew Silva, Jonaliza Racot, and Edrian Toledo was declared as the 1st placer, topping among other teams.
Three ABM 12 students, classified as Team C, include Tristhan Jhay Reylado, Beatrix Villeza, and Clarence Casunuran which were placed successfully in 3rd place.
According to Toledo, one of the contestants, their team faced a challenge in preparing, however they were able to accomplish it with their prior knowledge.
“Winning the competition gave me a feeling of both contentment and relief. Representing our school wasn’t an easy task, so it was thrilling and comforting being able to perform well in a competitive environment,” said Toledo, appreciating their fruitful victory.
He also mentioned that his skill in analytical reading was nurtured during the contest due to some questions being misleading if not read correctly.
Through this activity, the participants are expected to encourage the curiosity of young students about academics.
Congratulations to the participants who represented the school in the Brain Blitz. With the wits of the brain and driven curiosity, may this guide their progress and inspire more individuals in taking on the challenges in terms of academics.
