Los Baños, Laguna – The City Schools Division of Biñan City Sub-Office was recognized for its outstanding contributions to scouting during the Annual Council Meeting and Election 2025 of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) – Laguna Council held on March 22, 2025, at Lopez Elementary School Auditorium.

Representing the Sub-Office, Deputy Division BSP Coordinator Sctr. Rocky V. Umambong, 2BH, and Sub-Office Chairman Sctr. German O. Morales, ALT, proudly received multiple awards, a testament to the division’s dedication to the scouting movement. The accolades included:

These awards highlight the unwavering commitment of SDO Biñan City's scouting leaders, adult volunteers, and young scouts in fostering character development, leadership, and skills training. The division’s remarkable 1st place finish in Adult Training Participation underscores its strong emphasis on equipping scout leaders with the necessary knowledge and expertise to mentor the youth effectively.

Meanwhile, the recognition in Scout Participation, Membership, and Advancement reflects the enthusiastic engagement of Biñan City’s scouts in various activities, their growing numbers, and their progress in scouting ranks.

The City Schools Division of Biñan City Sub-Office extends its gratitude to all scouting leaders, volunteers, and the entire scouting community for their continuous support in advancing the scouting movement. 84 years ago, Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden-Powell, the founder of Scouting, passed away. Yet his words— “The real way to get happiness is by giving out happiness to other people”—continue to shape the Scouting community.

Scouting has never been about what we can take—it’s about what we can give. For us, being a Scout in the Philippines means showing up for others, whether it’s helping someone, offering a hand when times are tough, or simply sharing what we can to make a difference. This is what it means to be a Scout.
