Platero Elementary School successfully conducted the Early Registration Kick-Off for School Year 2026–2027 on January 31, 2026, marking a significant step toward ensuring inclusive, accessible, and well-planned basic education for incoming learners. The activity aimed to encourage early enrollment of Kindergarten, transferees, and Balik-Aral learners while strengthening community awareness of the Department of Education’s Early Registration program.
The kick-off was made successful through the collaborative efforts of the PSDS Pilar I. De Castro of District I, School Principal Cherry R. Ang, teachers, non-teaching personnel, parents, barangay officials head Kap. Jun TATAK Aurelio, and community stakeholders. Various information dissemination strategies were implemented, including house-to-house advocacy, posting of tarpaulins and flyers, social media announcements, and coordination with the barangay, ensuring wide reach and increased community participation.
During the activity, parents and guardians were properly guided on enrollment procedures, requirements, and the importance of early registration in school planning and resource allocation. The smooth and orderly conduct of the registration process reflected the school’s readiness and commitment to providing quality public education.
As a result of the Early Registration Kick-Off, Platero Elementary School recorded an increased number of registered learners compared to the previous school year, enabling the school to project accurate enrollment data and prepare appropriate learning resources, classrooms, and teaching personnel.
Overall, the successful conduct of the Early Registration Kick-Off strengthened school–community partnership, promoted stakeholder engagement, and reaffirmed Platero Elementary School’s dedication to delivering quality, inclusive, and learner-centered education for School Year 2026–2027.
