BCESSC Celebrates National Science Month

Bayugan City — Bayugan Central Elementary School SPED Center (BCESSC) formally celebrated National Science Month on September 2, 2026, through a series of science-related activities spearheaded by the school’s science teachers under the coordination of Teacher Jane Marie Dalis, School Science Coordinator, with the support of Sir Fidel L. Verceles, School Principal.

The celebration featured a Science Quiz Bee, Spelling Bee, Slogan and Poster-Making Contest, and Film Viewing, providing learners with opportunities to demonstrate their knowledge, creativity, and critical-thinking skills.

The activities aimed to promote greater appreciation of science and innovation among learners and inspire them to develop skills essential for a sustainable and progressive future.

Today was a meaningful learning experience for our teachers as the Philippine Red Cross (Bayugan City), headed by Sir Noel Monton, conducted an orientation on Basic First Aid, followed by a hands-on demonstration. 🩹❤️

It was a great opportunity to learn practical skills that we can use when emergencies happen, especially in our school. Thank you, Sir Noel and the Philippine Red Cross team, for sharing your time, knowledge, and expertise with us. đźš‘đź‘Ź

We were truly honored to welcome DepEd Regional Director Dr. Allan G. Farnaso, CESO III to our school.

What made his visit even more meaningful was his reminder that his presence was not a surprise visit, but part of his responsibility and commitment to doing his job to personally see what is happening in schools, listen to teachers and learners, and understand the realities on the ground.

His visit gave us the opportunity to share, learn, and be reminded that leadership is not only about being in the office, but also about being present in the schools where education happens every day.

Thank you, Sir, for taking the time to be with us and for reminding us that we are all here to do our part and work together for the benefit of our learners. 🙏❤️

Today marks a meaningful and heartfelt transition of leadership as the outgoing SPTA officers formally hand over their responsibilities to the newly elected SPTA President and officers for School Year 2026–2027.

Knowledge inspires action and action makes a cleaner and healthier environment.
Another step towards strengthening BCESSC’s Solid Waste Management has happened today (July 22, 2026), as our Grade 6 pupils actively participated in the CENRO-Bayugan City Solid Waste Management CEPA activity, gaining knowledge and inspiration to become responsible guardians of the environment. Spearheaded by Maam Mariel M. Espiloy, Environmental Specialist II, together with NEMSU and CMU interns, this event inspired our learners to take action in keeping their surroundings clean through proper waste segregation.

Ang Batang Central ay Malinis at Disiplinado. Together, we build a cleaner, safer, and healthier school.
