As the school year drew to a meaningful close, Ruby N. Cabelis, School Head of Mount Olive National High School, delivered the Year-End State of the School Address on March 31, 2026—a significant gathering that reflected on the school’s journey, celebrated its milestones, and looked ahead with hope and purpose.

The address highlighted the accomplishments, progress, and challenges of the school throughout the year, made possible through the unwavering dedication of the teaching force, the cooperation of learners, and the steadfast support of the community. It also became a heartfelt moment of recognition and gratitude for the parents, teachers, and stakeholders whose continued trust, partnership, and commitment have greatly contributed to the growth and success of the school.

More than a presentation of achievements, the occasion stood as a reminder that the strength of Mount Olive National High School lies in the unity of every hand and heart working together for the welfare and future of its learners.

Behind every smile is a journey marked by sacrifice, perseverance, and silent victories. Through every challenge faced, every lesson learned, and every dream held onto with courage, the Class of 2026 proved that they are not easily broken. They stood tall, pressed forward, and emerged stronger than ever.

Today, we celebrate not only the completion of a chapter, but the triumph of hearts that refused to give up. This moment is a testament that no struggle can defeat a spirit fueled by hope, determination, and faith.

Education met community service on the grounds of Mount Olive National High School (MONHS) today, as the Philippine National Police (PNP) Bayugan City, in coordination with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Barangay Mount Olive, spearheaded a high-impact outreach program for the student body.

The activity, which commenced at 12:00 NN, transformed the typical school noon break into a vibrant hub of learning and community bonding.

At the heart of the event was a comprehensive Information Drive conducted by the PNP personnel. The session focused on empowering students with knowledge regarding public safety, drug awareness, and civic responsibility. By bringing these lessons directly to the campus, the PNP aimed to humanize the badge and build a foundation of trust with the youth of Mount Olive.

Going beyond the lecture, the visiting team ensured the students were well-taken care of physically. The PNP personnel facilitated a free lunch program, providing nutritious meals to the attendees. To the delight of the students, the officers also surprised the crowd with free ice cream, creating a festive and approachable atmosphere that broke down barriers between the authorities and the students.

PURPLE WEDNESDAY: Wear the Power

Purple is more than just a color—it symbolizes justice, dignity, and the continuing movement for women’s rights and empowerment.

In celebration of National Women’s Month 2026, Mount Olive National High School invites everyone to join Purple Wednesday by wearing purple as a sign of support and appreciation for the strength, resilience, and contributions of every Filipina.

Let’s fill MONHS with shades of purple and spark conversations that celebrate, empower, and uplift women in our community.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Seventh-day Adventist Church - Southeastern Caraga Mission for graciously responding to Mount Olive National High School’s invitation to conduct the Moral Recovery and Values Formation (MRVF) program for our students.

Your commitment in guiding our learners toward strong moral principles, Christ-centered values, and purposeful living has truly made a lasting impact. Thank you for being instruments of positive change and for partnering with us in shaping a generation grounded in faith, integrity, and service.

The Southeastern Caraga Mission (SCM) Communication Department responded to the invitation of Mt. Olive National High School by conducting a values formation lecture as part of the school’s Moral Recovery Program.

The activity focused on character building, responsible decision-making, and ethical digital citizenship, equipping students with principles that shape integrity and positive leadership in today’s digital age. In collaboration with the Family Life Ministries Department, the program also highlighted the importance of nurturing strong values both at home and in school.

Through initiatives like this, SCM continues to extend its mission beyond the church—partnering with schools to guide the youth toward becoming responsible, value-driven leaders in their communities.

Ma’am Nancy reminds us that empowerment is not about perfection, but about strength, integrity, compassion, and balance in every role a woman takes.

𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩, 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙮!

Students, teachers, and school personnel of Mount Olive National High School actively participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), demonstrating the proper “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure and practicing safe evacuation to strengthen disaster preparedness and response.

This activity is conducted in line with DepEd Memorandum on the Conduct of the CY 2026 Quarterly Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), which enjoins all schools and government offices to participate in the nationwide preparedness initiative led by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

Through continuous drills and coordinated participation, the school community reinforces awareness, preparedness, and resilience—because being ready today helps save lives tomorrow.

In line with the declaration of the City Mayor, face-to-face classes will officially resume. Mount Olive National High School warmly welcomes back our learners as we continue our journey of learning, growth, and excellence inside the classroom.
