Mount Olive National High School successfully celebrated Nutrition Month 2026 through a series of educational and skill-based activities that promoted healthy eating, environmental stewardship, and active student participation.
This year's celebration was anchored on the official theme, "Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!" under the overarching call, "Sa PPAN, Sama-Sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat," highlighting the inseparable relationship between proper nutrition and environmental sustainability. The theme encourages everyone to protect natural resources while ensuring that every Filipino has access to safe, nutritious, and sustainable food.
The month-long celebration commenced on July 9 with the Nutrition Quiz Bowl, where students demonstrated their knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and healthy lifestyle practices. The competition inspired learners to become more informed advocates of proper nutrition and wellness.
On July 16, creativity flourished during the Poster Making Contest, where participants translated the year's theme into meaningful artworks that emphasized the importance of preserving both nutrition and the environment.
Students showcased their artistic craftsmanship during the Fruit Carving Competition on July 27, transforming fresh fruits into impressive works of art while promoting appreciation for nutritious and naturally grown produce.
The celebration continued with culinary competitions that highlighted the value of healthy meal preparation. On July 29, Grades 7 to 9 competed in the Vegetable Dish Cooking Contest, preparing delicious and nutritious recipes that encouraged greater consumption of locally available vegetables.
Meanwhile, on July 30, Grades 10 to 12 displayed their culinary talents in the Chicken Soup Cooking Contest, presenting wholesome and nutrient-rich soup dishes that emphasized balanced nutrition and practical food preparation skills.
Throughout the month-long celebration, students exhibited not only creativity and culinary excellence but also teamwork, critical thinking, and a deeper appreciation for healthy and sustainable living. Every activity reinforced the message that proper nutrition and environmental care go hand in hand in building healthier communities.
The successful conduct of the celebration was made possible through the dedication of the school administration, teachers, organizers, judges, and the active participation of MONHS learners.
As Nutrition Month 2026 concluded, Mount Olive National High School reaffirmed its commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and environmental responsibility, inspiring learners to become champions of the theme, "Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!" and to support the national call, "Sa PPAN, Sama-Sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat."
