๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ | Strength, resilience, and inclusion shine through as Bachelor of Science in Information Technology student Diana Rose Guiab shares her journey as one of the featured ACHIEVE students in celebration of the 32nd Anniversary of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
A person with disability (PWD), Dianaโs story is rooted in perseverance and determinationโrising from Alternative Learning System (ALS) to senior high school and now pursuing her college education at Nueva Vizcaya State University.
Her journey is marked by continuous adjustment and courage, from adapting to new academic environments to overcoming everyday challenges in mobility and social interaction. Yet through it all, she remains grounded in her dream of finishing her studies and giving pride to her family.
At NVSU, she experiences a strong sense of inclusion and support, where accessibility and compassion from the university community make her feel that she truly belongs. For Diana, education is not defined by limitations, but by the strength to continue despite them.
Driven by her family, faith, and vision for a better future, she stands as a reminder that abilities are not measured by condition, but by determination and heart.

Pursuant to Republic Act No. 7722, or the Higher Education Act of 1994, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) marks its 32nd Anniversary with a month-long celebration that unites all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) nationwide.
In line with CHED Memorandum Order No. 177, s. 2026, the Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) joins the nationwide advocacy campaign in celebrating this milestone, highlighting the diverse stories of our students and strengthening inclusive education for all.
As part of the celebration, NVSU proudly supports the theme:

An Environmental Science student, Maxineโs story goes beyond academic excellence. It is shaped by advocacy, lived identity, and a commitment to inclusionโreflecting how higher education continues to embrace diverse voices and experiences.
As a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, she sees her identity as a source of strength that guides her leadership and service within the university. Through challenges, growth, and meaningful milestonesโincluding her crowning moment as Queen NVSU 2026โMaxine continues to champion visibility, resilience, and representation on campus.
For her, education is not only about achievement, but also about using oneโs voice to inspire change.
