𝑪𝑨𝑴𝑷𝑼𝑺 𝑯𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑳𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑻𝑺 | NVGCHS strengthens readiness for new school year through orientation on Learning Systems Reform Policies

Nueva Vizcaya General Comprehensive High School (NVGCHS), led by Dr. Luviminda M. Cordero, continues its preparations for the upcoming school year through active participation in the Virtual National Orientation on Learning Systems Reform Polices, conducted through a watch party at CASA Alumni on May 8.

The virtual orientation, attended by participants from Regions II, III, IX, and XI, aimed to equip teachers with essential knowledge and guidance regarding the educational policies and reforms set to be implemented in the coming academic year.

During the program, Carmela C. Oracion EdD, Assistant Secretary and Officer-in-Charge Undersecretary for Learning Systems, assured educators that the Department of Education(DepEd) recognizes the concerns and sentiments raised by teachers nationwide.

“The set of reforms were designed to be holistic, and hopefully this will effectively address the inefficiencies and challenges that we experience as school leaders and teachers every day,” Dr. Oracion said.

The orientation provided NVGCHS educators with valuable insights on the newly introduced three-term school calendar, learning preparation strategies, strengthened work immersion programs for Senior High School (SHS) students, and reforms in flexible learning delivery.

Teachers also engaged in collaborative simulated activities designed to give them practical, hands-on experiences that would better prepare them for the implementation of the new systems and policies.

Through its active involvement in initiatives such as this, NVGCHS remains committed and optimistic in supporting the DepEd’s educational endeavors, with the goal of achieving positive outcomes for both teachers and learners alike.

𝑬𝑵𝑹𝑶𝑳𝑳𝑴𝑬𝑵𝑻 𝑼𝑷𝑫𝑨𝑻𝑬 | May 8 marks the final day of the General Qualifying Examination for incoming Grade 7 students for SY 2026–2027 at Nueva Vizcaya General Comprehensive High School.

All incoming Grade 7 learners are encouraged to take part in this scheduled assessment as part of the enrollment process.

Enrollment is still ongoing until May 22, every Monday to Thursday.

𝑪𝑨𝑴𝑷𝑼𝑺 𝑻𝑶𝑫𝑨𝒀 | NVGCHS supports nationwide learning recovery efforts, joins ARAL Summer Orientation Program

Nueva Vizcaya General Comprehensive High School (NVGCHS) continues to strengthen its commitment to learning recovery through active participation in the Department of Education’s (DepEd) nationwide implementation of the Summer Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program, as identified Summer ARAL tutors and support aides attended an orientation in preparation for the effective and consistent rollout of the initiative, May 4-5.

Student-tutees, together with their parents, were present during selected parts of the orientation, where they were introduced to the program’s goals, guiding principles, and objectives, with the session emphasizing the importance of supporting student learning and accelerating academic recovery.

Joanna Jasmin C. Dela Cruz, Summer ARAL Program Coordinator, highlighted that students’ participation in the program serves as an opportunity to enhance their academic skills and better prepare for the upcoming school year.

Moreover, this message was echoed by Ma. Leonora L. Cortado, Officer-in-Charge Assistant Principal and Head Teacher, who also discussed the legal bases for the conduct of the Summer ARAL Program.

Meanwhile, Maximino B. Noveda Jr., Officer-in-Charge Head of the English Department, presented the rationale behind the Summer ARAL Program and explained the mechanics of the two-day orientation.

Following the onsite orientation, NVGCHS also joined the virtual nationwide orientation on the implementation of the Summer ARAL Program.

The administration of the Summer ARAL Program is guided by DepEd Order No. 18, s. 2025, which institutionalizes the initiative as a national intervention program designed to improve student performance in reading, mathematics, and science, while helping learners attain grade-level competencies.

The Summer ARAL Program will run from May 6 to June 2, 2026, and will feature targeted interventions and assessments focused on student growth and academic improvement.

🎯 Program Placement:
Admission examinations for the Special Program in Foreign Language (SPFL) and Special Program in Journalism (SPJ) shall be accordingly administered following the designated schedule for respective aspirants.
