From the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Office of the Registrar, we present the official Final Examination Schedule for the Second Semester, Academic Year 2025–2026, for the information and guidance of the entire PLTCI community.

The Final Examination will be conducted on May 20–23, 2026, and students are advised to carefully review their respective examination schedules and report on time during their assigned examination period.

📌 Day 4 Examination Schedule (May 23, 2026 – Saturday) will include Saturday classes. The examination schedule shall follow the regular class schedule.

📌 All faculty members are also reminded to strictly follow the prescribed examination schedule to avoid conflicts.

In connection with the announcement by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) regarding the scheduled power interruption from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, all classes across all levels will shift to Asynchronous Learning Modality on Friday, April 24, 2026.

Faculty members are advised to provide learning materials, recorded lectures, and alternative academic tasks through the institution’s designated learning platforms. Students are expected to accomplish these within the prescribed timeframe.

All offices will be closed on the said date. Furthermore, all on-site activities, including laboratory classes and face-to-face assessments, shall be postponed or rescheduled, subject to the discretion of the instructors and approval of department heads.

All students, faculty, and staff are enjoined to be guided accordingly and to make the necessary preparations.

Faculty evaluation plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of teaching and learning in our institution. Through your feedback, we are able to recognize strengths, identify areas for improvement, and continuously enhance the academic experience.

The Frontier, a production from PLT College, Inc., triumphed at the highly anticipated Cinekabataan Filmmaking Competition held in December 2025, taking home the coveted Best Film award at the recent March 26, 2026, awards ceremony. The film, titled "To the Life I've Walked Before", earned praise for its powerful message on the theme of "Choices and Consequences."

The Makaindag competition, which forms the core of the film festival, is a province-wide initiative organized by the Governor’s Office–Population Division. The competition’s goal is to create youth-centered, localized Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials that speak to adolescents in their native language and cultural context. These materials encourage self-respect, informed decision-making, and future-oriented thinking, while challenging harmful norms and misinformation.

Various Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) and local youth groups from municipalities across the province participated in the competition, where they showcased their talents through creative and thought-provoking films. "To the Life I’ve Walked Before" stood out for its compelling storytelling, stunning cinematography, and advocacy for positive social change.

At the awards ceremony on March 26, 2026, The Frontier’s film garnered a series of major awards, further cementing its place as a standout production. In addition to winning Best Film, the production also earned Best Actress for Rachelle L. Bongol, whose outstanding performance captivated both judges and audiences alike. Jeremiah Beriña was awarded Best Actor for his powerful portrayal of the film’s lead role. Toni Faye H. Duerme received Best Director for her visionary direction that brought the film's poignant story to life.

Moreover, "To the Life I’ve Walked Before" swept the major categories of Best Advocacy Film, Best Cinematography, Best Screenplay, Best Picture, and Best Film.

The Cinekabataan Film Festival not only celebrated the artistic excellence of young filmmakers but also provided a platform for them to address critical issues affecting the youth. The Makaindag competition, in particular, fosters creativity and encourages youth to communicate vital messages about self-awareness, responsible decision-making, and societal change through the power of film.

The Best Film award for "To the Life I’ve Walked Before" is a testament to the growing impact of this competition, as it inspires the next generation of filmmakers to create art that resonates with their peers and drives positive societal transformation.

As the winners bask in their well-deserved recognition, The Frontier production remains committed to creating meaningful and impactful content for the youth, encouraging them to reflect on their choices, face challenges head-on, and embrace their future with a sense of empowerment.

The success of The Frontier highlights the importance of fostering creativity and critical thinking in today’s youth, empowering them to share their stories, challenge societal norms, and spark change through the art of filmmaking.
