Mariing kinokondena ng mga kabataan ng Marikina ang brutal na pag-aresto kay Alexis "Chokoy" Lasic — isang kabataang Marikenyo, biktima ng baha, at person with disability (PWD) — na lumahok sa dambuhalang kilos-protesta kontra korapsyon sa Luneta kahapon, Sept. 21.

Si Chokoy ay nakatambay sa labas ng jeep na nakapark malapit sa Ayala Blvd cor San Marcelino St., kasama ng mga senior citizens. Galing sila sa kilos-protesta sa Luneta. Nang sumiklab ang gulo sa Ayala bridge, dinampot, pinagtatadyakan, at marahas na inaresto si Chokoy ng kapulisan ng Manila Police District (MPD) gayong hindi sya kalahok sa mga nambato sa kapulisan sa Ayala Bridge.

Kasalukuyang nakadetine si Chokoy sa Manila Police District (MPD) kasama ang iba pang kabataang inaresto ng mga pulis.

Panawagan namin sa kapulisan na kagyat na palayain si Chokoy! Dapat din siyang bigyan ng kagyat na lunas dahil sa tindi ng bugbog na tinamo nya.

Walang batayan ang pagdetine kay Chokoy dahil tanging paglahok sa kilos-protesta kontra korapsyon lang ang kanyang ginawa. Sa halip na si Chokoy at mga kabataan ang ikulong, ang mga kawatan na nagpapasa sa buwis ng mamamayan ang dapat ikulong.

Marapat na kondenahin din ang pasismo at sobra-sobrang paggamit ng dahas ng PNP para gupiin ang malawak na hanay na galit na mamamayan na nagprotesta kontra karapsyon sa anibersaryo ng Batas-Militar ni Marcos Sr. Kailangang labanan natin ang anumang porma ng pagpapanumbalik ng kamay na bakal para supilin ang demokratikong karapatan ng mamamayan. # # #
