The Ayug ken Tignay Performing Arts Group once again took the spotlight during the Student Organization and Leadership Awards Ceremony—this time, not just for performance, but for excellence that goes beyond the stage.

This year marks a historic milestone. 𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚, 𝘼𝙠𝙏 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙨 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙤𝙥 10 𝙈𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙊𝙪𝙩𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙊𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙯𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙉𝙑𝙎𝙐—a testament to how far we’ve come and how boldly we continue to move forward.

The program opened with a powerful 𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑨𝒏𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎, 𝒇𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝑽𝒊𝒛𝒄𝒂𝒚𝒂 𝑯𝒚𝒎𝒏, 𝒔𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂 𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒓𝒐𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒆. The stage then came alive through a captivating 𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒂 𝑮𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒚 𝑨𝒚𝒖𝒈 𝒌𝒆𝒏 𝑻𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒂𝒚 𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓 𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒚 𝑴𝒂𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐 𝑱𝒐𝒑𝒉𝒆𝒍 𝑺𝒂𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒏𝒈, echoing the rich heritage of our indigenous communities.

On May 3, the journey continued through Cultural Immersion, highlighted by the vibrant 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑻𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒌 𝑫𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑮𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑰𝑪𝑪—showcasing tradition, rhythm, and the enduring spirit of culture.

More than a performance, it was a tribute—where education meets heritage, and every step, note, and movement tells a story worth preserving.

Klen Ji G. Binay-an, former president and the current Student Adviser of the Ayug Ken Tignay Performing Arts Group and a proud student of NVSU–College of Teacher Education, Bayombong Campus, took a meaningful step in representing Filipino culture through her participation in the Internship and Cultural Exchange Program at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) in Vietnam from March 17 to April 18, 2026.

More than just an academic experience, the program became a platform to celebrate identity and heritage. The Ayug Ken Tignay Performing Arts Group was featured during the event, highlighting the captivating performance of Ayug—an expression of tradition, discipline, and cultural pride. Through this, the richness of local artistry was shared with an international audience, leaving a lasting impression beyond borders.

This milestone reflects how dedication to culture and the arts can open doors to global opportunities. It serves as a reminder that our roots are not limitations, but foundations that allow us to stand confidently on the world stage.

This initiative marks the fourth collaborative activity under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between NVSU and Ton Duc Thang University, further strengthening their academic partnership.

The program will run from March 17 to April 18, 2026, with the delegation scheduled to depart for Ho Chi Minh City on April 5, 2026, for the onsite phase.

The initiative reflects NVSU’s strong commitment to advancing student and faculty mobility as a pathway for professional growth, cross-cultural engagement, and global academic development.

During the 22nd Charter Anniversary with the theme “Sustaining Excellence, Expanding Global Horizons,” the celebration featured the Thanksgiving Service, Ulat ng Pangulo, and Recognition of Employees & Benefactors.

The Ayug Ken Tignay Singers delivered a remarkable performance, opening the program with the Philippine National Anthem and the Vizcaya Hymn, and beautifully closing the ceremony with the NVSU Hymn—leaving a lasting sense of pride, unity, and inspiration.

The Ayug ken Tignay Performing Arts Group participated in the opening program of the Cagayan Valley Regional Athletic Association of State Universities and Colleges (CaVRASUC) 2026 held at Nueva Vizcaya State University.

During the ceremony, the group led the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, the Vizcaya Hymn, and the NVSU Hymn, setting a solemn and meaningful tone for the start of the regional athletic meet.

Their performance highlighted the group’s commitment to promoting cultural appreciation and institutional pride while contributing to the successful opening of the event that gathered State Universities and Colleges across Region II in celebration of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and unity among student-athletes.

The Ayug ken Tignay Performing Arts Group participated in the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 held at the Dumlao Farming Training Center, Nueva Vizcaya State University Bayombong Campus on February 23, 2026.

This activity aimed to raise awareness and strengthen advocacy on the prevention of hazing, promoting a safe, respectful, and supportive campus environment for all students.
