Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) Results
September and November 2025
College of Teacher Education, Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) – Bayombong
The college proudly announces the results of the September and November 2025 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) for both Elementary and Secondary levels, as released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
For the Elementary Level, NVSU–Bayombong recorded an overall passing rate of 87.88%, with 58 passers out of 66 examinees. First-time takers achieved an 88.52% passing rate (54 passers out of 61), while repeaters posted an 80.00% passing rate (4 passers out of 5).
For the Secondary Level, the University attained an overall passing rate of 85.37%, with 245 passers out of 287 examinees. First-time takers registered an 86.86% passing rate (238 passers out of 274), while repeaters achieved a 53.85% passing rate (7 passers out of 13).
These results significantly exceed the national passing rates, where the PRC reported that 21,967 out of 43,035 examinees (51.04%) passed the Elementary LEPT, and 57,729 out of 79,493 examinees (72.62%) passed the Secondary LEPT.
The college extends its warmest congratulations to all passers, as well as its sincere appreciation to the faculty members, administrators, mentors, and support staff whose dedication and commitment to quality teacher education made this achievement possible.
The college remains steadfast in its mission to produce competent, ethical, and globally competitive educators in service of the nation.

Congratulations to Dr. Juanita Blanza Pascua for bringing pride to the community during the 7th POTTE National Convention held at Surigao del Norte State University, December 5–7, 2025.
Recognized under the Higher Education Institutions Category, she was awarded as Most Outstanding Educator in TLE and TVL Education and was named Finalist in the 1st Bahandi Research and Multidisciplinary Paper Presentation for her study “Predictors of Academic Performance among Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education” under the Pedagogy, Curriculum, and Assessment Innovations Strand—selected among candidates through an online presentation and rigorous screening across six strands.
With the theme “Toward a Future-Proof Technical and Vocational Profession: The Role of TLE and TVL Practitioners in Digital, Sustainable, and Inclusive Education,” this recognition reaffirms her exemplary contribution to TLE and TVL education and her commitment to advancing the profession through research and innovation.

2026 THE World University Rankings recognizes CSU, NVSU, USLT “Reporter” status
Cagayan State University (CSU), Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU), and University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) were amongst the forty-two (42) Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Philippines that were recognized with “Reporter” status in the recent 2026 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings.
This recognition signifies that these HEIs from Region II have successfully submitted data for evaluation in the global ranking framework and are now acknowledged among participating universities worldwide. Being listed as “Reporters” highlights their ongoing efforts toward international visibility, benchmarking, and commitment to continuous quality improvement aligned with global standards in higher education.

Lapada, who holds a Master of Arts in Industrial Education major in Technology and Home Economics from Isabela State University, Ilagan Campus, and Dr. Valentina S. Agpuon, who earned her Doctor of Education in Educational Management from Nueva Vizcaya State University, Bayombong. Their qualifications and dedication will undoubtedly contribute to the continued excellence of the College of Teacher Education in shaping future educators.

On September 29, 2025, NVSU welcomed Ms. Lies Vercautere, Global Engagement Policy Advisor of VIVES University, a long-time partner of Nueva Vizcaya State University.
Together with Dr. Dolores Galvez, Dean of the College of Business Education, Ms. Vercautere visited the office of Dr. William D. Magday, Jr., Dean of the College of Teacher Education.
During the meeting, Ms. Vercautere presented the Intensive Programme (IP) of VIVES University, aligning with CTE programs such as BECEd, BTVTEd, and BTLEd, and explored opportunities for NVSU students to participate in a 2-week learning experience in Belgium.
Dr. Magday also shared the college’s ongoing internationalization initiatives, emphasizing NVSU’s commitment to expanding partnerships further enriching academic and cultural exchanges.
This collaboration reflects NVSU’s vision of preparing globally competent graduates through strong international linkages.
