The University Learning Resource Center (SMULRC) recently conducted a comprehensive, week-long Online Resources Orientation to SMU Senior High School students last November 18-24 to equip them with the essential digital resources & tools needed in their academic journey, especially as they begin their Practical Research subjects.
During the orientation, students were provided with valuable insights and hands-on experience with several online databases and digital tools that will be indispensable for credible and in-depth research which is a huge step in producing high-quality academic work.

Following the insightful virtual sessions, Library Science OJTs held their library tour who expertly guided them through the different sections of the University Library. This hybrid approach ensures they are comfortable using both extensive digital collection and physical space.

SMU Librarians Attend The National Library Webinar
November 20, 2025

The National Library of the Philippines, in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology - Science Technology Information Institute Library, conducted a "Webinar on Libraries as Stewards of Culture and Community" on November 20, 2025, via Zoom. The webinar was in celebration of the 35th Library and Information Services Month 2025. Miss Irene Brillo delivered the Topic 1: Preserving Cultural Heritage Through Library Collections in the morning, while Miss Nelly A. Ngangay lectured on the Topic 2: Strengthening Library Impact Through Community Partnerships. Mr. David A. Cabonero, Mrs. Eva Rose Bugaling, and Mrs. Anivel L. Soliven, attended the said webinar.
