LWSO OATH-TAKING CEREMONY
August 28, 2026 | Sacred Heart Center, Saint Mary’s University

The newly elected officers of the Library Working Students' Organization (LWSO) joined fellow Marian student leaders in a meaningful Oath-Taking Ceremony at the Sacred Heart Center.

As they took their oath, they committed themselves to serve their fellow working students with responsibility, honesty, dedication, and teamwork.

May this new chapter of leadership inspire them to listen, support one another, and always lead with a heart for service. Leadership is not just about holding a position—it is about being willing to serve and make a difference.

Congratulations, LWSO officers! May you have a meaningful and successful year of service.

LWSO ELECTS NEW OFFICERS FOR AY 2026–2027

The Library Working Students' Organization (LWSO) successfully held its election of officers for Academic Year 2026–2027 on August 22, 2026, at the First Floor of the Rev. John van Bauwel Building.

The activity gave our library working students an opportunity to exercise their right to vote and choose leaders who will represent them and help strengthen the organization. It was also a meaningful reminder of the values of responsibility, teamwork, respect, and service.

Congratulations to our newly elected LWSO officers! May you lead with dedication, integrity, and a heart for service. We look forward to your meaningful contributions to the LWSO and the library community.

Our appreciation also goes to all the working students who participated in the election and to our LWSO Advisers - Mrs. Aileen S. Castro, Mrs. Rhenalyn B. Pimentel and Mrs. Anivel L. Soliven, - for their guidance and support.

The Library Working Students Organization (LWSO), in partnership with BLIS students, successfully conducted Project Lakbay Libro at Brgy. Vista Alegre Child Development Center, bringing the love of reading to young minds in the community. 📚✨

The outreach featured engaging storytelling sessions, lively intermission performances by LWSO officers, and book donations to ensure the children continue to enjoy reading beyond the event. Through these activities, the program aimed to promote literacy, inspire imagination, and extend the library’s mission of knowledge-sharing beyond campus.

The children’s excitement and eagerness to learn reflected the impact of the program, while our student gained meaningful experience in fostering education and cultural enrichment. A heartfelt thank you to Brgy. Vista Alegre for welcoming us and to our dedicated LWSO and BLIS student for making this initiative a memorable step toward nurturing a culture of reading in the community. 💚
