Last November 22, 2025, the Students United in Mathematics (SUM) officers, together with the NSTP students and MICRO JPCS officers, held a Site Clearing and Tree Planting Activity in Barangay Masoc, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya. The participants helped clear the area and planted calamansi trees as part of efforts to take care of the environment and support the community.

This activity highlighted the importance of teamwork, cooperation, and responsibility among student leaders while helping make the surroundings greener and healthier. Activities like this truly show the dedication of the student organizations to raise awareness about the environment and to take part in projects that bring positive change to both nature and the community.

Last December 05, 2025 from 9:00 to 10:30 in the morning, the officers of Students United in Mathematics (SUM) brought another exciting Math Tuto session to the GMath class of Maโ€™am Donna Bee Tominez, the SUM adviser, at JVD 208. The first year Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management students welcomed the activity with energy and curiosity.

The session began with the officers introducing themselves and the organization. The flow of the Math Tuto session was led by the dedicated officers. These were Mica Yangat who is the auditor, followed by Angelica Galapon who is the president, then Avrylle Natiging who is the Public Information Officer, and finally Georen Magday who is the secretary.

The officers taught the topic ๐’๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ฆ๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‹๐ข๐ง๐ž๐š๐ซ ๐ˆ๐ง๐ž๐ช๐ฎ๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ in a way that was clear and enjoyable. They discussed what linear inequalities are, the type of line to use based on the symbol, and the correct shading of the region. They also guided the students in graphing linear inequalities, identifying undefined slopes, and choosing the correct inequality written in slope intercept form.๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ“‰

The lesson became even more interactive when the officers explained how to graph systems of linear inequalities. They showed how to change an inequality into an equal sign, how to find the slope through rise over run, how to plot points using the y-intercept, how to decide the type of line to draw, and how to shade the regions to find the solution of the system. The students participated actively through recitation and board work which made the session lively and engaging.๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐ŸŽ“

This Math Tuto session also served as an important preparation for the students as they get ready for their upcoming Final Term Examination which will take place on December 11 to 16, 2025. The concepts discussed will help them face the examination with better confidence and understanding.

The Math Tuto session ended with a positive and inspiring learning atmosphere. The students gained new confidence and understanding, and the officers were able to share their love for learning.โœจ๐Ÿ”ข
