๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐๐ข๐ก๐, ๐ก๐จ๐๐ฉ๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ญ๐๐๐ฌ๐ โ The Department of Education (DepEd) Schools Division Office (SDO) of Nueva Vizcaya officially launched its new Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Comics-Type Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Materials, along with the Compiled Contextualized DRRM Daily Lesson Logs (DLLs) and Learning Activity Sheets (LASs), at the SDO Conference Hall, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.
The event commenced at 10:00 AM with opening remarks from Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Adonis C. Ceperez, EdD., CESE, followed by the acknowledgment of participants led by Maria Theresa Iglesia, Project Development Officer II-DRRMS.
The launching featured an Audio-Visual Presentation (AVP) depicting the journey behind the development of the DRRM Comics, DLLs, and LASs, followed by the formal presentation of the newly crafted learning materials. Certificates of recognition were awarded to the Subject Matter Experts, Technical Working Group, District DRRM Coordinators, Municipal DRRM Officers, and Municipal and Provincial Local Government Units for their contributions.
SDS Orlando E. Manuel, PhD, CESO V delivered an inspirational message highlighting the impact of creative, contextualized materials on disaster preparedness among learners. Mr. Robert L. Corpuz (PDRRM Officer, PLGU) and Gerry D. Daran (MDRRM Officer, Dupax del Sur) shared messages of support, reinforcing the strong partnership between DepEd and local disaster risk management bodies.
The ceremony brought together leaders and advocates for safety and education across the province, including DepEd SDO Management: SDS Orlando E. Manuel, CESO V; ASDS Adonis C. Ceperez, CESE; Dr. Rommel S. De Gracia, CESE (OIC-Chief Education Supervisor, CID/ SEPS-Planning and Research); and Dr. Romulo S. Ancheta (Chief ES, SGOD) together with the DRRM Partners & Educators: Municipal DRRM Officers led by Sir Gerry Daran; District DRRM Coordinators; Provincial DRRM personnel headed by Sir Robert L. Corpuz; Education Program Supervisors; District Supervisors; and selected SDO personnel.
The event was hosted by Marc Henrick R. Nicanor (PDO I-Youth Formation) and concluded with a closing remarks by SGOD Chief Dr. Ancheta and a closing prayer by Roscoe N. Gacusana, RGC (SEPS, SMAN).
Through these newly launched comics and standardized DLLs and LASs, DepEd Nueva Vizcaya continues to prioritize disaster awareness and safety education across all schools in the division.
