The Safety and Pollution Control Office in cooperation with PPPDMO staff replaced/changed the water filter of the two drinking fountains located near PDP Office and near the Hantson Building on August 22, 2023. The preventive maintenance aimed to ensure the potability and cleanliness of the drinking fountains of the University.

Saint Mary’s University employees and students actively participated in the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill on September 7, 2023 (Thursday).
At exactly 2:00 in the afternoon, a loud siren noise was sounded all over the campus to signal the start of the drill. employees and students were tasked to perform the “Duck, Cover and Hold” followed by an emergency evacuation to Saint Mary’s University Oval (evacuation area).
The Said activity is in pursuant with the Memorandum Order No. 225, series of 2023 enjoining higher education institutions to NSED.
Finally, it was indeed a success. Preparedness and mitigation are the key strategies in reducing disaster risk.
