Program

Date:: May 9, 2026
Venue:: Ocapon Elementary School
Organizer: EDD Students of NVSU, Bayombong Campus

An extension program was conducted on May 9, 2026 at Ocapon Elementary School, featuring Leadership Training and Team Building with Technology Integration, Gender Awareness and Development (GAD), and a Feeding Program. The day began with a prayer and with an energetic Zumba session that energized participants as well as the organizers, and set a positive tone and atmosphere for the set activities.

Dr. Regino Galate, Graduate Program Coordinator of NVSU-Bayombong Campus, delivered his message highlighting the significance of the extension programs being conducted in community engagement. He also extended words of gratitude to the EDD students for initiating and organizing such activities.

Ma'am Mailyn Dasalla, RGC, MAEd, Guidance Counselor of Solano High School and PhD EM student of SMU Bayombong, served as the resource speaker for the GAD session. She discussed basic key concepts on gender equality, inclusivity, and equally significant values pupils must have and practice.

The Leadership Training and Team Building activities emphasized collaboration, unity, trust, communication, and problem-solving, with technology tools integrated to make the sessions interactive, exciting, and engaging.

A nutritious meal was prepared and served to the pupils as part of the community service component. The feeding program aimed to address basic nutritional needs while fostering a sense of care and community among participants and organizers.

The extension program culminated with a fellowship lunch, allowing faculty (teachersof OES) and organizers (EDD stidents) to bond and reflect on the day’s activities.

The success of the extension program truly reflects the commitment, unity, and collaboration of the EDD students and the full support of Dr. Regino Galate (GS Program Coordinaor) and the graduate program professors of NVSU , Bayombong Campus (Dr. Garma, Dr. Gacusan, Dr. Bisquera, and Dr. Galate).
