The 610th Bayog Naval ROTC Unit stood proud at the Tanim Project 2026, joining the Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) in celebrating its 121st Founding Anniversary! 🎂

​Our cadets swapped their usual drills for digging, contributing to a greener environment by planting seedlings and promoting environmental sustainability. This initiative isn't just about trees; it’s about our commitment to service, leadership, and the protection of our natural resources.

The 610th Naval Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (NROTC) Unit officially joined the local government and community for the weekly Flag Raising Ceremony held this morning.

​The participation of the midshipmen underscores the unit's adherence to military tradition and its commitment to fostering nationalistic pride. By standing in formation alongside civil servants and local leaders, the 610th NROTC Unit continues to demonstrate the importance of discipline and civic duty within the municipality of Bayog.

The 610th Bayog Naval Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Unit successfully conducted its 7th Training Day at the Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University – Bayog Campus. The session aimed to sharpen the technical proficiencies and physical discipline of the midshipmen and midshipwomen.

The highlight of the day was an informative lecture delivered by SN1 Julius S Mondarte PN, who provided in-depth instruction on Semaphore—a vital method of visual communication in maritime operations. Following the lecture, cadets participated in Semaphore Flag Ex*****on, where they applied their knowledge through practical signaling exercises.

In addition to communication skills, the unit engaged in rigorous Close Order Drill (COD). These maneuvers were specifically designed to enhance the cadets' psychomotor skills, discipline, and coordination, fostering a stronger sense of unity and precision within the corps.

The 610th Bayog NROTC Unit continues to uphold its commitment to developing well-rounded and disciplined future leaders for the Philippine Navy.

Attention! 610th Bayog Naval Reserve Officers' Training Corps (NROTC) Unit at the Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University – Bayog Campus hereby issues a directive for all midshipmen and midshipwomen regarding upcoming training requirements.

To ensure all personnel are equipped for practical signaling exercises, every cadet is required to prepare and bring the following materials:

Quantity: Two (2) White Flags
Specifications: Each flag must consist of a one-meter (1m) stick with a standard bond paper securely attached.

These makeshift signaling flags are essential tools for mastering semaphore and other visual communication techniques vital to naval operations. We encourage all cadets to take pride in the preparation of their equipment.

The 610th Bayog Naval Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Unit successfully carried out its fifth training day on February 15, 2026, at the Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University - Bayog Campus.
​The session began with an informative lecture facilitated by ASN Mark Ranniel Molina PN, providing the cadets with valuable insights. Following the lecture, the unit engaged in a practical session on knot tying, a fundamental skill essential for naval proficiency.
​The training program also featured a rigorous Close Order Drill (COD) session, which was instrumental in developing the cadets’ psychomotor abilities, discipline, and coordination. To conclude the day’s activities, a talent presentation competition was held among the platoons. This segment allowed the cadets to showcase their creativity while fostering teamwork and esprit de corps across the unit.
