✨ SALUBONG 2026: A WELCOME WORTH REMEMBERING! ✨
Yesterday, our BCAED freshies officially took their first steps into a new chapter through Salubong—a celebration filled with culture, music, excitement.
The celebration began at the Lower Campus, where our freshies gathered and started their parade, making their way toward the Main Gate. Waiting to welcome them were our dedicated Adarna officers and other students organizations, ready to greet our freshies as they officially enter a new journey in VSU.
Our very own ADARNA members opened the event with a captivating ritual dance, bringing energy and culture to the celebration. The program was further filled with music as Chelsea Bongo delivered a heartfelt solo performance of "I call it home", followed by “VSU in My Heart" alongside Ryll Jude Maghinay.

A FIRST STEP INTO A NEW CHAPTER! ✨
Today, August 10, 2026, marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our BCAED freshmen as they officially joined the Student Onboarding Program, held at the VSU Gymnasium.
The afternoon began with a warm welcome and engaging activities led by our ADARNA Officers and Facilitators, giving our freshies the opportunity to meet fellow BCAED students, build new connections, and get acquainted with the community they will now be part of. Through laughter, conversations, and shared moments, the first day became more than just an orientation, it became a chance to start forming the friendships and memories that will accompany them throughout their college journey.
At around 3:00 PM, the excitement continued as the freshies set out for a campus tour from the Upper Campus down to the Lower Campus. Guided by our ADARNA officers and facilitators, they explored key facilities, familiarized themselves with different areas around the university, and got their first glimpse of the places that will soon become part of their everyday lives as BCAED students.
From the first introductions inside the Gymnasium to the walk across campus, today was filled with new faces, new places, and new beginnings—a memorable first step into a journey filled with learning, creativity, friendship, and countless possibilities. ✨
As our freshies begin this new chapter, may they continue to explore, connect, and grow with the BCAED community every step of the way.
Welcome to BCAED, freshies! Here’s to the journey ahead and to soaring toward greater heights together.

THE CULTURE WE REMEMBER IS THE CULTURE WE CHOOSE TO KEEP ALIVE. 🌿
As we celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day, we honor the Indigenous Peoples of the Philippines and the generations of stories, knowledge, traditions, and artistry they continue to carry forward.
These are more than pieces of history—they are living identities, communities, and heritage that continue to shape our nation today.
May we go beyond simply celebrating Indigenous culture. May we listen, learn, respect, and recognize the people and stories behind it.
Honor the roots. Listen to the stories. Respect the people. Keep the culture alive. 🤎
