𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗢𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗥𝗢𝗪 | On August 12, 2026, Wednesday, the 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 will conduct its 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 for Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) students at 𝟭:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠, followed by the 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 of the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 - 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝗣𝗜𝗖𝗘-𝗩𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗖) for Academic Year 2026-2027 at 𝟰:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠. Both events will be held at 𝗥𝗗𝗘 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹.

𝙉𝙤𝙩𝙚: This is a major event set by the department and the organization. Attendance will be strictly monitored. For those who have classes outside FE, an excuse letter will be provided later once signed by the department head and faculty dean.

𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕'𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝑻𝒂𝒎𝒃𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒈!

Student leaders from the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers – VSU Student Chapter (PICE-VSUSC), together with the Faculty of Engineering – Supreme Student Council (FE-SSC) Officers, gathered at the VSU Market on August 08, 2026, for 𝐓𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, a welcoming initiative dedicated to assisting incoming first-year students as they begin their journey at Visayas State University.

Carrying the spirit of 𝒕𝒂𝒎𝒃𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒈—a Cebuano expression rooted in cooperation, mutual support, and collective effort—the initiative aimed to make the transition into university life a little less overwhelming for the new members of the VSU community.

The initiative reflects the commitment of PICE-VSUSC to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment within the university. More than simply helping freshies reach their dormitories, the activity highlighted the value of student leadership grounded in service, compassion, and camaraderie.

As the new academic year begins, Tambayayong sa Salubong 2026 marks not only a welcome for the newest members of the university community, but also a reminder that every CEmates, coFEmates, and Viscans has a community they can lean on throughout their journey.
