VSU-Disaster Resilience and Management

Welcome to VSU, freshies! 🌿💚

College life is not just about finding your classroom, your barkada, and the best tambayan. It is also about knowing what to do when alerts, warnings, and emergencies happen.

With Localized Understanding of Warnings, Alerts, and Safety:
Knowledge and Application for Viscans (LUWAS KA Viscan), we learn to be alert, calm, helpful, and safe. Because warnings only save lives when Viscans know how to act on them.

LUWAS KA, Viscan: Be alert. Be calm. Be helpful. Be safe.

Let's all come together as one Viscan community as VSU STRIDES for Resilience. A resilient VSU starts with prepared Viscans!

🤝 Stronger Together for a Resilient Future!🛡️

On July 27, 2026, the VSU Disaster Resilience and Management Office (VSU DRMO) had the privilege of hosting our esteemed colleagues from the Palompon Institute of Technology - Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PIT-DRRMO) for a collaborative benchmarking activity! 🏫📊

While our institutions may span different campuses, we share a singular, vital mission: safeguarding our university communities and ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of essential services, come what may.

Through meaningful knowledge-sharing, exchanging best practices, and aligning our risk reduction strategies, this engagement reinforces our mutual commitment to building safer, more resilient, and disaster-prepared academic institutions in the region. 🌐💙

Thank you, PIT-DRRMO, for visiting Visayas State University! Here's to continuously working together toward a culture of safety, preparedness, and continuous service excellence. 📈🤝
