📣 VSU DRMO | Coordination Meeting with OCD RO VIII for PSCP Training‑Workshop (June 2026)

Strengthening institutional resilience starts with strong partnerships. Visayas State University (VSU), through the Disaster Resilience and Management Office (DRMO), conducted a coordination meeting with the Office of Civil Defense Regional Office VIII – Eastern Visayas (OCD RO VIII) for the planned Public Service Continuity Plan (PSCP) Training‑Workshop targeted in June 2026.

This activity forms part of VSU’s continuing efforts to deepen the understanding and operationalization of the VSU STRIDES Framework—a Board of Regents (BOR)-approved protocol manual that integrates the University’s DRRM Plan, Public Service Continuity Plan (PSCP), and Incident Management Plan (IMP/ICS/EOC) into one coherent, campus-ready system.

As part of the coordination, OCD RO VIII Regional Director, Dir. Joel S. Erestain, CSEE, and his team paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the President, meeting with VSU President Dr. Prose Ivy G. Yepes to initially discuss the conduct of the training‑workshop and explore future collaborations and engagements that further strengthen VSU’s institutional resilience and community service.

✅ What to expect in the PSCP Training‑Workshop (June 2026):

1. Strengthened understanding of continuity planning across all hazards
2. Unit-level readiness through BIA and Mission Essential Functions (MEFs) mapping
3. Practical continuity strategies for key campus services and functional units
4. Coordination protocols that align continuity operations with incident management and EOC processes
5. Outputs that support sustained service delivery—even under disruption

VSU DRMO extends its appreciation to OCD RO VIII for the continued guidance and support in building a more resilient university—ready to protect life, sustain critical services, and serve communities when it matters most.

📍 VSU STRIDES forward—for resilience, readiness, and public service continuity.
