To the grade levels under the Future Farmers of the Philippines (FFP), you may have your clearance signed by the club treasurers, Lance G. Alcober and Maria Regina M. Huerbana, at the Communication Arts Building this coming Monday to Friday.

Attention to all VSUIHS Students!

The signing of FINAL CLEARANCE will start on May 13, 2024. School Organization Treasurers are scheduled for May 13-17, 2024 to sign your clearances at the Communication Arts Building. Please see the picture below for the other details.

1st Week🗓 2nd Harvest 🌿

Congratulations 🤩 to sections Jackfruit and Jupiter for having the 2nd harvest! Recently, the Grade 8 students 👩‍🌾 of section Jackfruit harvested a bucket of snow cabbage or "pechay" while students 👨‍🌾 from the Grade 10 Jupiter had their first harvest on the water spinach or "kangkong" and okra they planted.

Good day VListas 👨‍🌾! We just had our first harvest from sections Dahlia and Petunia 🤩! Congratulations to the following sections for a job well done and for being able to produce vegetables without the use of any inorganic or synthetic fertilizers. Make sure to submit a report to the club secretary so as to have the harvested vegetables recorded!

Seedlings and vermicompost are now available to be bought. You can buy these at 5:00 to 6:00 PM at the Urban Gardening area for the grade level activities near the MathSci Building. However, you may approach any club officer if you wish to buy these items beyond and before the said time.

Alugbati - 10 pesos / seedling
Eggplant - 10 pesos / seedling
Kangkong - 10 pesos / seedling
Okra - 10 pesos / seedling
Tomato - 10 pesos / seedling
Bell pepper - 15 pesos / seedling
Vermicompost - 20 pesos / kg.

Good Day to all and heads up to all Future Farmers! 🧑‍🌾

We have officially kicked off our Urban Gardening Activity few months prior to our culmination. Get ready with your working clothes and gardening supplies and let's start growing for the betterment of our school! Here are the guidelines below and for any further inquiries, you may approach FFP Officers and the club adviser Mr. Ruel Balana. Thank you!

Herewith is the mechanics for the “Urban Gardening” activity that is to be administered by the VSUIHS – Future Farmers of the Philippines (VSUIHS – FFP).

- Each section from the different grade levels will be provided a spot wherein students can plant and do the planting activity.
- Upon the conduct of the said planting activity, students are encouraged to use organic fertilizers and explore in finding ways to grow a healthier plant with the use of organic fertilizers (students may seek and ask the help of agriculture instructors upon creating and formulating fertilizers).
- The use of inorganic fertilizers is strictly prohibited.
- During the conduct of the Urban Gardening, students are encouraged to keep their allocated areas clean.
- Students may use other materials (i.e. pots, sticks, branches, etc) necessary to grow their plants healthily.

Here, we are pleased to announce this year's officers for the VSUIHS Future Farmers of the Philippines S.Y. 2023 - 2024!

As we know, farmers are the backbone of our country and the economy and with this these new set of officers will be role models to promote the importance of agriculture in the Philippines and embody the club's goals and missions.
