Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia - Mr. Enrico Pitogo Bargamento, assistant adviser of Mulberry Men's Home, successfully presented his research entitled, "Negotiating Modernization: Tenant Lived Experiences with Rice Farming Technologies in Rural Philippines", representing Visayas State University Main Campus in the 11th University Consortium Graduate Forum 2026.

Bargamento also bagged the Best Presenter Award and will receive a cash prize worth RM 150.

His presentation was recognized under the Subtheme 2 — Policy and Governance in Food Security Research and Subtheme 4 — Interdisciplinary Approached to Food Security.

Bargamento's research delved in the lived experiences of tenant farmers in Barangay Tuguipa, Hilongos, Leyte, focusing on the challenges and realities surrounding the adoption of modern rice farming technologies.

His research also emphasizes the importance of inclusive governance, equitable risk-sharing, localized extension services, and participatory approaches in advancing sustainable and food-secure rural communities.

Visayas State University, Baybay City - Mulberry Men's Home (M2H) officially elected new set of officers and committees for Academic Year (A.Y.) 2026-2027 as they concluded the election last August 17, 2026.

Ricah Morata, 2nd Year in Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness will lead this year's officers as he won the president position gaining majority of the votes.

Yvanne Palmitos, 2nd Year in Bachelor in Physical Education will also lead the dorm alongside Morata as Vice President.

Next in line are the new officers under Morata and Palmitos' leadership as listed below:
