A proud moment for the Visayas State University as Mr. Chris Martin L. Porcadilla, President of the Faculty of Teacher Education - Supreme Student Council, emerged as the 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Mr. Porcadilla gave his speech on the theme “𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙮: 𝘿𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙭𝙩, 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝘼𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣,” highlighting the need to take into account the various experiences of people as well as our common goal for a more prosperous Philippines.

On top of this accomplishment, Mr. Porcadilla also received a 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 for his position as 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒅 𝑮𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒑 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 21 (𝑺𝑮𝒀 21).

These awards not only stand for excellent communication and leadership skills, but also indicate a desire to use one’s position in order to inspire the youth and the community to do something.

Our pre-service teachers are officially deployed to partner public schools in the Baybay City Division and Leyte Division, where they will gain meaningful experiences, apply their knowledge and skills, and grow alongside our dedicated cooperating teachers.

The Faculty of Teacher Education is conducting an Alumni Tracing and Profiling initiative for graduates who intend to take or retake the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) in September 2026 or March 2027.

𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗢𝗪 | On August 31, 2026, the Faculty of Teacher Education is holding the Pinning and Candle Lighting Ceremony for the Pre-Service Teachers of Batch 2026–2027 at RDE Hall.

The ceremony marks an important step in their journey as they prepare to begin their Practice Teaching and take on their role as future educators.
