𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 | The Visayas State University, through the VSU-Crisis Management Committee, is advising everyone to take precautionary measures following the latest advisory of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources–Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB) on haze affecting several areas in the Philippines.

For Region 8, the September 20, 2026, 5:00 PM air-quality readings reported Good air quality in Tacloban City for both PM10 and PM2.5, while Ormoc City recorded Good for PM10 and Fair for PM2.5. These readings may vary across locations and may change as conditions develop.

In view of the continuing haze, non-essential outdoor and field activities must be temporarily restrained until air-quality conditions improve. Those who need to go outdoors are strongly advised to wear a properly fitted N95 mask or equivalent, particularly when haze is visible.

Persons sensitive to air pollution, including children, older persons, and individuals with respiratory or cardiovascular conditions, are advised to limit outdoor exposure and take necessary precautions.

The University will continue to monitor air-quality conditions and official advisories from DENR-EMB and other concerned agencies and will issue further updates as necessary.

Please take the necessary precautions while haze conditions persist.

𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗡 | 𝗩𝗦𝗨 𝗡𝗨𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗕𝗢𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝗧𝗢𝗣𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗥

Jazz Excell Mesiona Remedio of the VSU Faculty of Nursing placed 10th nationwide in the August–September 2026 Nurses Licensure Examination with a rating of 90.40%.

Adding to this, all 50 first-time examinees passed, giving the University a 100% passing rate and placing VSU among the Rank 1 top-performing schools nationwide in the PRC’s category for schools with 50–99 examinees.

Another proud achievement for the Visayas State University Faculty of Nursing and the entire VSU academic community. Congratulations!
