Digital Elevation Models (DEMs)

Plant health maps (NDVI, VARI, etc.)

Measurements (area, volume, distance)

VSU Department of Geodetic Engineering undergoes ISO Internal Audit

On October 6, the VSU Department of Geodetic Engineering was subjected to an ISO internal audit conducted by Dr. John Philip Lou M. Lumain, DVM. Under the leadership of Department Head Engr. Martin Jan Mercurio, the department presented its continuous efforts to strengthen internal processes and enhance the overall work environment in line with the university’s commitment to quality assurance.

IN PHOTOS: The VSU-Department of Geodetic Engineering held its student onboarding on August 15, 2025, at the FE Annex Activity Hall to officially welcome freshmen and continuing students for AY 2025–2026.

The program opened with remarks from Dr. Jannet C. Bencure, followed by program overview by Engr. Balmoria and faculty introductions by Engr. Bajao. Department Head Engr. Martin Jan Mercurio discussed the BSGE curriculum, highlighting its structure, courses, and skill development, while Engr. Pomentil inspired students to embrace challenges and excel. Student organizations were introduced by Mr. Serundo of GEP-VSUSC and Mr. Dagalea of Viscan YouthMappers, who shared opportunities for engagement. Sustainability, department services, and safety were emphasized by Engr. Marapao, Ms. April Bulawan, and Mr. Alvin Soria, respectively. The event concluded with an open forum and closing remarks from Prof. Morales, providing students with essential insights to guide them through a productive academic year.
