𝐅𝐌𝐄 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐮𝐦 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰

The Faculty of Management and Economics (FME) conducted its curriculum review on September 25, 2026, bringing together the heads of its departments, faculty members, and a student representative. During the activity, the department heads presented the proposed revisions to their respective academic programs. The proposals were informed by consultations with stakeholders and alumni, benchmarking experiences, program implementation insights, and feedback gathered from faculty members, fellow department heads, and students. The review provided a venue for constructive discussion on how the curricula could be further strengthened to respond to the evolving needs of learners, industries, and other stakeholders.

The review also emphasized the importance of ensuring that the proposed revisions remain aligned with the policies, standards, and guidelines of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). Beyond compliance, the review focused on developing more relevant, responsive, and student-centered programs that provide meaningful learning experiences and equip FME students with the competencies and adaptability needed to thrive in an increasingly dynamic and globally competitive environment.

The FME Academic Building now supports a growing community of more than 1,600 students across BS Agribusiness, BS Entrepreneurship, BS Economics, BS Hospitality Management, BS Tourism Management, and the Master of Management program.

Seeing these numbers reminds us that this building is more than an addition to the University’s facilities, it represents greater opportunities for our students and a greater responsibility for us as a Faculty. We look forward to seeing more classes, ideas, projects, pitches and meaningful student experiences take shape within its walls.

Dearest Viscans, here is the alternate class schedule for the implementation of Blended Learning for the First Semester of Academic Year 2026–2027, as stipulated in Memorandum Circular No. 208, Series of 2026, issued by the Office of the President.

Please take note of the schedule below and plan accordingly. Students, faculty members, and academic units are encouraged to prepare ahead and coordinate as needed to ensure a smooth and effective learning experience throughout the semester.

Attention, ka-FME!

Please remember to be present for the FME Orientation and 1st General Assembly tomorrow morning, August 12, 2026, at the VSU Gymatorium.

Please check the attached seat plan for our seating arrangements and attendance stations. For Agribusiness students, your designated area is on the left section, with your attendance station located at the back of your row. For Entrepreneurship and Hospitality Management students, you are in the middle section, and your attendance station is in the middle row. Finally, for both Tourism Management and Economics students, your section is on the right, with your attendance station stationed at the third row.

Please remember to wear your departmental shirts or uniforms. For freshmen or those who don't have their dept shirts yet, please wear your assigned color per program: Green for Agribusiness, Maroon for Entrepreneurship, Blue for Economics, Navy blue for Tourism Management, and Orange for Hospitality Management.

Please be guided accordingly, don't forget to bring your water, and let's try our best not to be late! 🙂‍↔️ Bring pamaypay or your mini-fan po. We are super excited to see and welcome all of you tomorrow, ka-FME! Let's make this a great one! 🙂‍↕️✨
