Last August 22, 2026, DAS conducted its annual department orientation.

Our 3rd-year Animal Science students officially joined the department and were welcomed and oriented on matters concerning their academic journey, departmental activities, responsibilities, and other things they need to know as they move forward in the program.

But the day was not all about talks and reminders. There was also time for laughter, getting to know one another, and simply enjoying the company of the people who will be part of the journey.

And, of course, every herd needs an identity. Our students finally have their batch names:

New sets of officers for the VSU - Society of Animal Science Students were also elected during the gathering.

Welcome, Batch Aries.
Welcome back, Batch Ta**us.
